Match verdict: The match was decided when Anub1ss converted close-range control into a six-kill spree between 292 and 369 seconds, removing the last realistic chase. Better efficiency, zero suicides and eleven revenge kills turned an early deficit into a clear 30:13 victory.

MVP goes to Anub1ss for 30 kills, a six-kill spree and eleven instant revenge kills. hemeroid earns the long-range operator award, trajbalajko the best-start trophy, and Jano the travelling rocket for hitting both opponents and himself.

Anub1ss Rules DM-DE_Ironic With Relentless Rockets

DM-DE_Ironic delivered exactly what its name promised in this Normal Deathmatch: some irony, many explosions, and a scoreboard that looked open before becoming the property of one player. Anub1ss struck first after seven seconds, dropping hemeroid with the Flak Cannon, but the opening belonged to trajbalajko. He turned the BioRifle into a green industrial blender, eliminating hemeroid at 12 seconds, Jano four seconds later, and Anub1ss at 19. A Double Kill became a Multi Kill and the 3:1 score suggested that the eventual winner had found a serious challenger. It was only the first scene, however, not the final meaning of the match.

The green rush and the first overturned table

trajbalajko kept attacking without hesitation. At 39 seconds he used a rocket against Anub1ss to make it 4:2 and held the lead, while Jano entered the scoring with his first frag against trajbalajko at 43 seconds. Sixteen seconds later Jano removed that point with his own rocket suicide, giving his start a classic Unreal Tournament rhythm: one step forward, one explosion under the boots, one step back. The opening minute produced eight kill events and made clear that the safest position on the map was probably spectator mode.

From 60 seconds onward, Anub1ss rewrote the script. He eliminated hemeroid twice with the RocketLauncher, then trajbalajko, and at 73 seconds moved ahead 5:4. That was the decisive lead change; the match recorded two changes at the top in total. Anub1ss extended the advantage to 7:4, although trajbalajko immediately cut him down with Flak in the same 92nd second. Seven seconds later came another rocket reply, turning the duel between the early leaders into a long-running personal account.

Minutes two and three ignore all traffic laws

The second minute was officially the busiest with twelve kills; the third also contained twelve, but the computed award went to minute two. Jano delivered two rapid rocket eliminations at 105 and 108 seconds, the second completing a Double Kill. Anub1ss answered with the Link Gun while surviving on three health, hemeroid then removed him with Flak from 25.7 metres, and at 124 seconds Anub1ss and trajbalajko traded kills almost simultaneously. The scoreboard shook, but the lead no longer did.

Between 134 and 174 seconds everyone pushed into the foreground. hemeroid hit trajbalajko and Anub1ss, then killed himself; trajbalajko also added a rocket suicide, yet scored against Anub1ss in the same second. Jano climbed to seven points through a compact sequence and at 170 seconds produced an immediate rocket revenge against Anub1ss that also registered as a Double Kill. Revenge was a central theme: Anub1ss collected eleven instant paybacks, trajbalajko four, and Jano and hemeroid three each.

The hammer, the pause and the decisive spree

In the middle of the match Anub1ss put subtlety away. With the Impact Hammer he eliminated hemeroid at 182 seconds, Jano at 187, trajbalajko at 204, then hemeroid and Jano again. On a map filled with rockets, the hammer felt like the repair invoice after an explosion: it arrived at point-blank range and could not be ignored. trajbalajko interrupted that passage with a Shock Combo and Jano later scored with the BioRifle, but by 232 seconds Anub1ss was already far clear of the field.

After Jano hit Anub1ss at 258 seconds, the longest quiet spell lasted exactly 21 seconds. Then trajbalajko scored with the BioRifle, hemeroid eliminated Jano twice, and the second shot at 298 seconds from 47.1 metres became the longest kill of the match. At the same time Anub1ss began the decisive attack. From 292 to 369 seconds he scored six times without dying: two rockets against trajbalajko, a Shock Combo against Jano, and three more eliminations of Jano. His score advanced from 20 to 25 and the contest effectively broke open.

The spree ends, the dominance does not

trajbalajko ended Anub1ss's six-kill spree at 381 seconds with a RocketLauncher shot from 17.7 metres. It was a valuable frag and the symbol of their main rivalry: Anub1ss eliminated trajbalajko thirteen times, while trajbalajko answered with eight. The 13:8 personal score showed that the challenger could bite, but not reverse the match. Two seconds later hemeroid hit trajbalajko with a rocket and later added a Stinger kill against Jano.

Anub1ss then closed the door. At 403, 411 and 412 seconds he collected three BioRifle kills, the last two in quick succession for a Double Kill, reaching 28. Jano still eliminated trajbalajko with a rocket, but two seconds later lost the point through the same weapon. Anub1ss added number 29 against trajbalajko, hemeroid delayed him with Flak at 438 seconds, and trajbalajko struck Jano with the Link Gun five seconds before the finish. The final word belonged to the winner: at 449 seconds Anub1ss launched the rocket that eliminated trajbalajko and sealed 30:13.

Match moments
  • Anub1ss took first blood after seven seconds with the Flak Cannon against hemeroid.
  • trajbalajko opened with a BioRifle Multi Kill and led 3:1.
  • Anub1ss took the lead at 73 seconds with a rocket for 5:4.
  • The second minute was the busiest, producing twelve kills.
  • hemeroid recorded the longest kill, a 47.1-metre BioRifle shot on Jano.
  • Anub1ss built a six-kill spree from 292 to 381 seconds.
  • trajbalajko ended the spree, but Anub1ss finished the match with a rocket for 30:13.

The final scores of 30:13, 10 and 10 resemble a comfortable procession, yet the opening two minutes were far more nervous than the table suggests. trajbalajko supplied the fastest start, Jano mixed rocket doubles with self-inflicted deductions, and hemeroid was both the most patient shooter and the longest-living player at 32 seconds per life. Anub1ss combined the highest damage, eleven revenge kills, control of close space and the decisive spree. DM-DE_Ironic therefore produced an ironic ending: the player swallowed by a BioRifle Multi Kill at the start eventually won convincingly and personally switched off his main rival with the final rocket.

Player verdicts
  • CZ Anub1ss — A complete winning performance: the most damage, 30 kills, a six-kill spree and eleven revenge eliminations. In close quarters he turned the RocketLauncher and Impact Hammer into systematic tools for building a lead.
  • SK trajbalajko — An explosive opening with a BioRifle Multi Kill, and the only player to end Anub1ss's longest spree. Twenty-two deaths and one suicide erased much of the value of his 14 kills.
  • SK Jano — Active and dangerous with rockets, including two Double Kills and seven assists. Two suicides reduced 12 kills to a score of 10 and blocked a better placement.
  • FR hemeroid — The most positional player: a 22.2-metre average kill distance, the 47.1-metre record and the longest average life. Eleven kills and eight assists mattered, but the attack rate was too low for the lead.

    Who killed with what

Each player's kills split by weapon. Reveals every fighter's favorite tool.

The RocketLauncher was clearly the deadliest weapon with 27 kills, followed by the BioRifle with 17. Anub1ss dominated with rockets and surprisingly added six Impact Hammer kills; no headshots occurred because area damage mattered more than hairstyles.

Anub1ss preferred aggressive control of narrow spaces, where the RocketLauncher, Flak Cannon and Impact Hammer reduced the value of long-range precision. When trajbalajko opened with the BioRifle, the winner did not retreat into passive spacing but increased pressure around transitions and likely spawn routes. hemeroid used longer sightlines and collected the most items, extending his life. The decisive advantage was Anub1ss's ability to switch between splash damage and immediate contact without losing tempo.
