Match history — match detail
biggest overkill: Jano (99 dmg) · airborne kills: 33 · gutsiest kill: Roznetka (1 HP)
Match verdict: Jano won with 30 points because his eight-kill burst from 231 to 280 seconds converted a close contest into a sustained lead. Twenty-nine Rocket Launcher kills and consistent success against Mlatic mattered more than any single spectacular shot.

Jano earns MVP for 30 kills, an eight-kill spree, three Double Kills and thirteen revenge kills. Liandrik takes first blood, Roznetka the 36.4-metre long-range prize and Mlatic the spree-stopper award. All won under fire, without an acceptance speech.
Jano unleashes rockets: eight kills turn the match
Liandrik struck first, but Jano eventually claimed both the rockets and the scoreboard.
On 14 October 2026, the UT3.sk server staged a Normal Deathmatch on DM-1on1-Lost-in-dawn_Final. The map name suggests a one-on-one fight, yet the record names five competitors: Jano, Roznetka, Liandrik, hemeroid and Mlatic. The target was 30 points, and the match lasted 536 seconds, or eight minutes and 56 seconds. Jano eventually reached that target, although the route was anything but straightforward. The early exchanges left the outcome wide open, the recorded lead changed three times and the most decisive noise came from a Rocket Launcher in exceptionally productive hands. Even the eventual winner spent plenty of time on the receiving end.
Liandrik draws first blood
Nine seconds after the start, Liandrik eliminated Mlatic with the Bio Rifle from 3.4 metres. First blood belonged to Liandrik rather than the future champion. Mlatic answered by hitting Roznetka with a rocket at 21 seconds; Liandrik then eliminated Jano at 44 and 64 seconds. When Roznetka also killed Jano at 79 seconds, nobody could safely declare a favourite. Jano had earned just one point, using the Enforcer against Mlatic at 51 seconds. The scoreboard was crowded and every encounter mattered.
The first sign of a comeback arrived at 94 and 97 seconds: Jano hit Liandrik and then Mlatic with rockets for his first Double Kill. Mlatic countered at 125 and 127 seconds, eliminating Liandrik and Jano for a Double Kill of his own. With Mlatic reaching five points in the latter exchange, the leadership question remained unsettled. The three changes of lead recorded across the match were earned in genuine competition, not handed out by an uneventful opening.
The rockets begin speaking louder
Jano drew level on five points at 141 seconds by eliminating Mlatic, then added another kill fourteen seconds later. Roznetka remained dangerous: she defeated Jano at 190 seconds and followed up with a Flak Cannon kill against Liandrik two seconds later, earning a Double Kill. But Jano reached eight kills at 199 seconds and began to separate his total from the pack. Mlatic still contributed, including a hit on Roznetka at 223 seconds, but Jano was increasingly the player able to convert each new engagement into another point.
The weapons breakdown explains a great deal. Of 69 enemy kills, 57 came from the Rocket Launcher, eight from the Enforcer and two apiece from the Bio Rifle and Flak Cannon. Jano accounted for 29 of his 30 kills with rockets; his one Enforcer frag was his first point of the match. There were no recorded headshots. This was no sniper exhibition: it was a relentless sequence of mostly close- and medium-range rocket exchanges, where the next accurate blast could settle a duel immediately.
Eight kills, eight signatures
The decisive stretch began at 231 seconds. Jano killed Liandrik, then Mlatic at 239, 247 and 256 seconds, followed by Roznetka at 265, Mlatic at 274, Liandrik at 278 and Roznetka at 280. Eight enemy kills without dying formed the longest spree of the match. Jano went from eight points before the run to sixteen by its last kill; the run also included a Double Kill on the final shot. Mlatic finally stopped him with a rocket at 283 seconds. The runaway train slowed, but by then Jano was setting the timetable.
Minute five was the busiest, with ten kills. The recorded minute-by-minute totals were 6, 7, 7, 8, 10, 7, 6, 9 and 9. Roznetka supplied the longest kill at 303 seconds, firing a rocket into Liandrik from 36.4 metres. Impressive by the standards of this match, but not a 50-metre sniper-range hit. Just two seconds later Jano eliminated Roznetka, maintaining his rhythm while everyone else tried to interrupt it.
Mlatic leaves, the battle carries on
At 310 seconds Jano and Mlatic exchanged kills within the same recorded second. Jano reached his twentieth point at 361 seconds and his twenty-first at 373, both against Mlatic. Mlatic logged 373 seconds of play and is marked as having left early; his record shows eleven kills and eighteen deaths. The longest lull fell between Janos kills at 336 and 361 seconds: 25 seconds with no kill recorded. Even this rocket-heavy firefight found a moment to quiet down.
Late in the match, hemeroid made a distinct impact. He killed Jano at 386, 485 and 525 seconds and added two eliminations of Roznetka. Five kills and five deaths in 165 seconds made for a short but balanced appearance. Liandrik troubled Jano again at 410 and 494 seconds, while Roznetka caught the leader at 447 and 456. The challengers could still land punches. What they could no longer do was erase the cushion Jano had built in the middle of the match.
One final second, two final hits
Jano hit 26 points at 439 seconds. At 508 seconds Roznetka killed him with a rocket, but the log also records Janos reply within the very same second, taking him to 28. Then came the perfect finish at 535 seconds: Jano eliminated Roznetka from 4.6 metres and immediately took down Liandrik from 5.5. The second frag triggered a Double Kill and his thirtieth point, exactly the target. The match ended a second later, after 536 seconds of play.
The final standings list Jano on 30, Roznetka on 10, Liandrik on 8, hemeroid on 5 and Mlatic on 11, ranked fifth after leaving early. Roznetka had twelve kills, but two suicides reduced her score to ten; Liandrik had eleven kills and three suicides, leaving eight points. The most intense head-to-head pairing was Jano versus Mlatic, with nineteen mutual kills: fourteen for Jano and five for Mlatic. Those figures describe the balance of power better than any heroic speech.
Match moments
- Liandrik drew first blood with the Bio Rifle against Mlatic at nine seconds.
- Jano assembled an eight-kill spree starting at 231 seconds; Mlatic ended it at 283.
- Minute five was the busiest, producing ten enemy kills.
- Roznetka hit Liandrik with the longest rocket kill, from 36.4 metres at 303 seconds.
- Jano finished at 535 seconds with a Double Kill against Roznetka and Liandrik.
Thirty points for Jano is a clear result, but not the entire story. Liandrik claimed first blood, Roznetka produced the longest-distance elimination, Mlatic halted the longest spree and hemeroid still killed the champion three times late on. The log records 74 deaths, including five suicides. Jano nevertheless collected thirteen immediate revenge kills and 29 rocket eliminations. His average life lasted only 25 seconds, hardly a comfortable reign. On DM-1on1-Lost-in-dawn_Final, victory did not require never being beaten. It required coming back, finding another angle and landing the next shot before the rest could answer.
