hemeroid overturns Jano’s rocket charge in the finale
When the rockets failed to settle it, the Bio Rifle signed the scorecard.
DM-1on1-Confined_1-1 hosted a Normal Deathmatch that packed several changes of fortune into 794 seconds. Five contenders entered the results: hemeroid, Jano, Trhac, Aquarius_de and Granatnik, all chasing a target score of 30. Jano relied heavily on the Rocket Launcher, while hemeroid turned the Bio Rifle into a late-game instrument of precision. The lead changed four times, the early pacesetter departed before the finish, and the final point arrived only at the end. The 30–28 score looks straightforward on paper. The route toward it involved self-inflicted setbacks, a seven-kill streak and a rivalry that kept intruding on the title fight.
First blood and an unlikely front-runner
At 13 seconds, Granatnik struck Jano with the Link Gun for the official first blood. hemeroid also eliminated Trhac with a rocket at that same timestamp, but the match data credits Granatnik with the opener. By second 30 he had three points and a Double Kill; another Double Kill followed at second 64 against Trhac. At 85 seconds he stood on eight points, while Jano had two and hemeroid three. There was no gradual warm-up: Granatnik had already started building a substantial advantage.
Trhac resisted with the Flak Cannon, taking Jano down at 43 seconds and Granatnik at 52. Jano answered with rockets, and at second 108 he and hemeroid traded lethal rockets at the same time, leaving each on four points. Just five seconds later, Jano lost a point to his own Rocket Launcher. That seemingly small mistake foreshadowed the closing arithmetic: a kill tally can look spectacular while the actual score tells a less forgiving story.
Rockets, retaliation and the long green shot
Granatnik kept setting the pace, hitting ten points at 156 seconds and eighteen at 392. Jano kept recovering from setbacks with his trusted rockets, including a Double Kill against Granatnik at second 133. Trhac delivered a different highlight at 179 seconds, dropping Jano with a Shock Combo. hemeroid also diversified: Shock Rifle hits at 277 and 279 seconds earned him a Double Kill on the second strike. No single player monopolized the memorable exchanges, even while the leaderboard appeared to favor one.
At second 370 came the most remarkable long-distance elimination of the match. hemeroid killed Jano with a Bio Rifle shot from 45.7 metres, the event’s longest recorded kill. That was short of the 50-metre sniper-distance threshold, but hardly an ordinary Bio Rifle encounter. hemeroid averaged 12.7 metres per kill compared with Jano’s 9.5. Those numbers suggest different engagement ranges: one competitor could score from farther away, while the other increasingly bet on explosive close-range fights.
The leader exits, Jano catches fire
hemeroid scored at seconds 403, 406 and 416 against Jano and Granatnik, with the middle elimination registering as a Double Kill. Granatnik nonetheless remained ahead for much of this phase. His last enemy kill was against Jano at second 450, before his own rocket cost him a point at 453. He left early with 18 points, 19 kills and 13 deaths. The leader who had shaped the opening minutes was no longer there to defend first place in the final stretch.
A 28-second kill-free pause followed the event at 458, the longest break of the match. Then the action accelerated into a ninth minute containing twelve kills, the busiest of all. Between seconds 458 and 528, Jano assembled the match’s longest streak, seven kills; the computed record names no opponent as its terminator. His rocket Double Kill against hemeroid at 519 pushed him to 19 points against 18. By second 539 Jano led hemeroid 21–18. For a while, the Rocket Launcher seemed louder than the entire leaderboard.
Side rivalries and a finish in green
Trhac ensured the contest was never simply a private duel. He ended with 22 points and eleven immediate revenge kills, matching Jano’s revenge count; hemeroid had ten. At second 597, Trhac recorded a Flak Cannon Double Kill against hemeroid, while Aquarius_de added a Rocket Launcher Double Kill against Jano at second 709. Jano and Trhac had the most direct encounters: 25 mutual kills, split fourteen for Jano and eleven for Trhac. Even the supposed supporting cast kept grabbing the microphone.
At second 744, Jano stood on 27 against hemeroid’s 25, and he improved that to 28–26 at second 756. Then hemeroid closed with the Bio Rifle: Aquarius_de fell at 762, Jano at 769 to level the score 28–28, and Trhac at 773 to make it 29–28. At second 792, Aquarius_de lost a point to a self-inflicted rocket death. Finally, at second 794, hemeroid struck Jano with the Bio Rifle again. Thirty points, a 30–28 win and a finish dictated entirely by the recorded events.

Ultimately the decisive signature belonged not to the most persistent rocket barrage, but to the Bio Rifle that held up under the final pressure.
