MVP goes to Vulgarus for 30 points, a six-kill spree, 11 revenge kills and the longest shot. Presnak takes first blood and the honor of ending the longest spree, while Vybuch earns the unofficial disruption award.

Vulgarus takes Rankin with a ruthless late-game finish

DM-Rankin-2010 stayed quiet for only thirteen seconds. Presnak opened the scoring by dropping Vybuch with the Flak Cannon for first blood, Vybuch answered with the Link Gun at 53 seconds, and Vulgarus joined the board at 67 with a Rocket Launcher kill while surviving on just two health. The opening remained tight: at 154 seconds all three players stood on two points. From there Vulgarus found the rhythm that defined the match. With only one recorded lead change, he turned a three-way tie into a controlled advantage and gradually separated his score line from both challengers.

From a three-way tie to the first real gap

The decisive swing began between 154 and 174 seconds. Vulgarus first tied the match at 2:2:2 with the Flak Cannon, then removed Vybuch with a Shock Combo and, two seconds later, Presnak with the Shock Rifle for a Double Kill and a 4:2:2 lead. Vybuch and Presnak both hit back, and Presnak even closed to 5:6 after his own Flak Cannon Double Kill at 267 seconds, but the pressure on first place was already starting to fade.

At 310 seconds Vulgarus launched the longest spree of the match. It started with the only headshot of the game, a Sniper Rifle kill on Presnak, and continued through Link Gun, Shock Rifle, another sniper shot and Stinger work. The run reached six kills before Presnak ended it with the Flak Cannon at 445 seconds. By then the scoreboard read 12:6:4, and Vulgarus had shown that his advantage came from weapon flexibility rather than a single trick.

Minute twelve turns Rankin into a firefight

The middle phase became the match's busiest stretch. Vybuch briefly hurt his own score with a Rocket Launcher suicide at 551 seconds, but then produced a Flak Cannon Double Kill at 618 and 619 seconds. Vulgarus answered from 652 onward with Sniper Rifle, rockets and Shock Combo kills, reaching 23 points by 691 seconds and opening a huge gap.

The computed data marks minute twelve as the busiest of the entire game with nine kills. Presnak refused to disappear: from 697 to 721 seconds he collected five kills, including two Link Gun Double Kills, before Vulgarus stopped the run with a Shock Combo at 729. The match also had a 47-second longest pause after the kill at 804 seconds, showing how sharply the pace swung between bursts and silence. Average life length favored Vulgarus at 61 seconds, ahead of Vybuch on 43 and Presnak on 41.

A stumble, resistance and a four-kill finish

The leader was not flawless. At 855 seconds Vulgarus lost a point to his own Rocket Launcher, then Vybuch and Presnak killed him in quick succession. The lead never truly collapsed, but his scoring stalled. Vulgarus recovered with a Link Gun kill on Vybuch and a Shock Combo on Presnak, while Vybuch produced his strongest late stretch and climbed to his final 16 points.

The final 25 seconds belonged entirely to Vulgarus. At 1144 he hit Presnak with the Shock Rifle from 39.2 meters, the longest kill of the match. Fourteen seconds later he took Vybuch with the Stinger, then used the Sniper Rifle at 1165 and again at 1169 to finish on exactly 30. His sniper produced 10 kills personally, while the Link Gun led the whole match with 17. Vulgarus also recorded 11 immediate revenge kills, the highest total in the lobby.

Match moments
  • Presnak claimed first blood at 13 seconds with the Flak Cannon against Vybuch.
  • The score was tied 2:2:2 at 154 seconds before Vulgarus moved into the lead.
  • Vulgarus built a six-kill spree from 310 to 445 seconds, ended by Presnak.
  • Minute twelve produced a match-high nine kills.
  • Presnak answered with a five-kill Link Gun surge late in minute twelve.
  • Vulgarus landed the longest kill: 39.2 meters with the Shock Rifle on Presnak at 1144 seconds.
  • Vulgarus scored four kills in the final 25 seconds to reach the 30-point limit.

The final 30:19:16 score looks more comfortable than the opening minutes felt. Presnak owned the first blood, Vybuch repeatedly disrupted close-range fights, and both rivals had phases where they could slow Vulgarus. The difference was continuity: Vulgarus survived longer on average, converted one strong middle section into a durable lead, and recovered quickly whenever his momentum broke. Rankin was not decided by one lucky shot but by sustained control, varied weapon use and a finish that left no room for a late comeback.

Player verdicts
  • LV Vulgarus — The most complete performance: 31 kills, 18 deaths, a score of 30 and the longest average life. He created the decisive gap in the middle phase and closed with four kills in 25 seconds.
  • B Presnak — A strong start and dangerous short Link Gun bursts, plus the kill that ended Vulgarus's six-kill spree. More deaths and shorter average survival kept him from matching the leader over time.
  • B Vybuch — Most dangerous at close to medium range, especially with the Flak Cannon, and still active late. Two point-losing suicides damaged his attempt to catch Presnak.

    Who killed with what

Each player's kills split by weapon. Reveals every fighter's favorite tool.

The Link Gun was the deadliest weapon overall with 17 kills, followed by the Flak Cannon with 15 and Sniper Rifle with 11. Vulgarus scored 10 sniper kills and the match's only headshot.

Vulgarus alternated longer sight lines for the Sniper Rifle and Shock Rifle with quick entries into tight corridors using rockets, Flak and Link Gun. Presnak leaned heavily on Link Gun and Flak Cannon pressure at shorter range, matching his 7.8 m average kill distance. Vybuch was more flexible at medium range, but two score-losing deaths broke his continuity. Vulgarus's main tactical strength was changing engagement distance to fit the weapon in hand.
