Vulgarus Rules DM-Sentinel with a Nine-Kill Rampage

Sentinel saw a brief fight for the throne, a long Vulgarus reign, and Zabijak's late flak-powered protest.

DM-Sentinel opened on a match that looked, during its first seconds, like a tight five-way contest, yet gradually became a precise demonstration of control. Vulgarus struck first at 0:16, dropping Zabijak with a Rocket Launcher from 1.6 metres. First blood brought no calm start: Zabijak answered five seconds later with the Flak Cannon, Ungodlike cut down Vulgarus with the Stinger at 0:28, and in that very same second Zabijak eliminated Ungodlike. The table swayed, the lead changed twice, and Sentinel briefly promised an evening of small revolutions. Then Vulgarus found a rhythm that the others could only interrupt for moments.

The only two lead changes

The opening minute delivered six kills and no polite introductions. After first blood, Zabijak tied the score at 1:1, then reached two points at 0:28 and moved ahead of Vulgarus, who remained on one. That was the first genuine change at the top. Vulgarus detonated a Shock Combo on Zabijak at 0:39 to make it 2:2, then hit Ungodlike with the Stinger thirteen seconds later. The 3:2 score produced the second and final lead change of the entire match.

Zabijak still checked Vulgarus with a Shock Combo at 1:28, while Ungodlike twice proved that the Stinger and Rocket Launcher were not decorations. Between those blows, Vulgarus kept collecting points: a Flak Cannon kill on Ungodlike, the match's only headshot with the Sniper Rifle against Zabijak at 1:46, and a rapid pair at 2:32 and 2:34. A Shock Combo on Ungodlike followed by a direct Shock Rifle hit on Zabijak completed a Double Kill and lifted the leader to seven. Sentinel was no longer staging a coup; it was watching power consolidate.

The gap grows and answers fade

At 2:50, Zabijak accidentally removed one of his own points with the Flak Cannon, dropping from three to two. Vulgarus did the opposite: close-range Flak, mid-range Shock Combos, and a climb to twelve by 4:23. Zabijak remained on two and Ungodlike on three. The longest silence was still ahead, but the pattern was already clear: after every interruption, Vulgarus restarted faster. He finished with fourteen immediate revenge kills, more than anyone else, so an opponent's celebration often lasted less than a fresh respawn.

Ungodlike refused to disappear and produced his best passage between 4:30 and 4:51. He stopped Vulgarus with the Flak Cannon and then removed Fragan twice with the Link Gun, moving from four to six and building a three-kill spree. After the kill at 4:51 came the match's longest pause, thirty-six seconds without a death. Fragan ended it at 5:27 with a Link Gun kill on Zabijak and added Ungodlike twelve seconds later. Those were Fragan's first two points, but the leader's advantage stayed untouched.

Nine kills that split the match open

The decisive avalanche began at 6:15. Vulgarus hit Fragan with the Shock Rifle, Ungodlike with a Rocket Launcher five seconds later, and Fragan again with a rocket at 6:23 to complete a Double Kill. He continued regardless of weapon or health: he finished the third kill of the sequence on four HP, eliminated Zabijak from 35.2 metres on fourteen HP for the longest kill of the night, then added Ungodlike with the Shock Rifle, Stinger, another Shock Rifle, and the Rocket Launcher. Fragan fell at 7:21, leaving Vulgarus on 21, Ungodlike on six, Zabijak on two, and Fragan on two.

It became a nine-kill spree from 6:15 to 7:34, the longest of the match. Its ending deserves its own line in the server chronicle: Rozstrel entered with the Sniper Rifle and eliminated Vulgarus from 27.3 metres. It was his only kill, yet it stopped the leader's dominant run. Rozstrel's average kill distance therefore remained exactly 27.3 metres, the highest of all players. Ungodlike removed him with the Link Gun four seconds later, so the glory was brief, but its timing was impeccable.

A frantic ninth minute and final resistance

After the streak ended, Vulgarus immediately returned to work. At 7:42 and 7:46 he struck Ungodlike with the Sniper Rifle and Fragan with the Shock Rifle for another Double Kill, then added a Shock Combo to reach 24. Zabijak replied at 8:00 and 8:01 with two Flak Cannon kills on Vulgarus and Rozstrel. Then came the busiest minute of the match: the ninth minute produced twelve kills, exactly twice the opening minute. Vulgarus surged from 24 to 29 through rockets against Ungodlike, Zabijak, Rozstrel, and Fragan, while Fragan and Zabijak added short answers of their own.

With Vulgarus on 29, Zabijak launched a final flak-powered resistance. He hit Fragan with the Sniper Rifle at 8:42, then dropped Vulgarus and Rozstrel at 8:57 and 8:59 for a Double Kill. Two more Flak Cannon kills at 9:08 and 9:10, against Vulgarus and Fragan, carried him to his final score of ten. For a moment the last point seemed trapped among the shards. At 9:20, however, Vulgarus ended the match against the same rival who had challenged him at the start: a Shock Combo on Zabijak sealed the 30:10 result.

The final 30:10 score looks decisive, and the middle and closing phases of the winner's performance were exactly that, even though the first 52 seconds contained two lead changes and a genuine promise of balance. Vulgarus combined the highest damage, the longest average life at 51 seconds, twelve collected items, and weapon variety from rockets to the Shock Rifle. Zabijak rescued his finish with four quick points, Ungodlike won several sharp micro-duels, Fragan made the Link Gun count, and Rozstrel bought a place in the story with one shot. Sentinel found both a winner and a punch line: dominance may last, but the chronicle often remembers the player who stopped it for one second.
