Vulgarus survives six lead swings to rule DM-Sentinel
Six lead changes, two sharp Freylih rallies and a finish where Vulgarus shut the door with four unanswered kills.
DM-Sentinel gave the eventual winner anything but a comfortable opening. Vulgarus triggered a CampKiller suicide after only 16 seconds and dropped to -1, while Trefa claimed first blood three seconds later by sniping Freylih. At 37 seconds Trefa struck again, hitting Vulgarus with the Sniper Rifle from 30.2 metres, the longest kill of the match. The player who would finish third therefore owned the opening, while the eventual winner first had to erase his own deficit. What followed was a 933-second Deathmatch packed with tight exchanges, six official lead changes and a final score of 30:26:13.
Trefa fired first, Vulgarus erased the minus
Trefa started exactly as a sniper would want. First blood on Freylih came at 19 seconds, and eighteen seconds later another Sniper Rifle shot dropped Vulgarus from 30.2 metres. Vulgarus was still carrying the cost of his opening suicide and sat at -1. Freylih answered with the Stinger at 45 seconds, after which came the longest quiet spell of the match: 39 seconds without a kill. Sentinel briefly caught its breath, and that proved to be its last real luxury.
Vulgarus climbed back through Shock Combo and Link Gun. He took Freylih at 84 seconds, hit him again with the Link Gun at 122, then used the same weapon on Trefa six seconds later. Freylih refused to let him escape, killing Vulgarus at 151 and 159 seconds to reach three points. Vulgarus immediately answered with a Shock Combo for 3:3, then moved ahead 4:3 before Freylih levelled again at 186. The central rivalry was already obvious: neither player could hold the scoreboard for long.
The first major streak belonged to Vulgarus
From 220 seconds onward Vulgarus found a clean rhythm. He removed Freylih with Shock Combo, Trefa with the Sniper Rifle eight seconds later, Freylih with the Shock Rifle, and then Trefa with another Shock Combo. Four straight kills formed the longest spree of the match and carried him to eight points while Freylih had four and Trefa two. Freylih ended the run at 255 seconds with a Shock Combo, stopping the contest from becoming a runaway too early.
Vulgarus still held the advantage and made it 9:5 at 279 seconds. Trefa kept interfering with the duel at the top: a Link Gun kill on Vulgarus came at 308 seconds, and at 384 he added a Sniper Rifle headshot, the only headshot of the entire match. Freylih, meanwhile, struck Trefa and Vulgarus at 359 and 361 seconds in quick succession, with the second frag completing a Double Kill. The gap was shrinking and the leader was under steady pressure.
Freylih turned the middle of the match
Freylih’s strongest phase came around the seventh and eighth minutes. At 404 seconds he killed both Trefa and Vulgarus with the Rocket Launcher and registered another Double Kill. Trefa then hit Freylih twice, but Freylih rebuilt momentum: Rocket Launcher on Trefa at 484, Stinger on Vulgarus at 490 and Shock Combo on Vulgarus at 496. That last frag put Freylih on 14 against Vulgarus’s 13 and moved him into the lead.
Vulgarus tied the score against Trefa at 516 and regained first place at 549 with a Shock Combo on Freylih, 15:14. Freylih answered by taking two points from Trefa to reach 16, but Vulgarus levelled 16:16 at 598 with the Flak Cannon. Then came another sequence of tight exchanges: 17:16, 18:16, followed by two Freylih rocket kills on Vulgarus and an 18:18 tie. This stretch explains the six official lead changes better than any statistic alone: every failed engagement could immediately reshape the table.
Minute twelve burned, Vulgarus owned the finish
The twelfth minute was the busiest of the match with seven kills. Vulgarus pushed to 21 through Flak Cannon and Shock Combo work, Freylih stayed close, and Trefa repeatedly disrupted both contenders. From the 20:19 edge created at 688 seconds, however, Vulgarus began to build a more durable margin. By 736 he was up 23:20. Freylih still refused to fold, cutting it to 23:22, but Vulgarus then used the Link Gun and Rocket Launcher to advance to 25.
Even then the result was not settled. Freylih moved within 25:26 at 844 seconds and, by killing Trefa at 898, reached 26 to create another deadlock at the top. The final fourteen seconds belonged entirely to Vulgarus: Shock Combo on Freylih at 918, another Shock Combo on Trefa at 922 for a Double Kill, Flak Cannon on Freylih at 926, and Shock Rifle on Trefa at 932. Four closing frags transformed a 26:26 pressure cooker into a clear 30:26:13 finish, just one second before the 933-second match time expired. The broader profiles matched that pressure: Vulgarus had 16 immediate revenge kills and a 44-second average life, Freylih 13 and 33 seconds, and Trefa 11 and 37 seconds; their average kill distances were 12.5 m, 13 m and 10.5 m respectively.

Vulgarus won a match that offered him almost no comfort at the start. He climbed from -1 to 30, survived Freylih’s mid-game takeover and, when the contest was tied at its sharpest point, turned Shock Combo, Flak Cannon and Shock Rifle into four finishing frags. Freylih ended on 26 after keeping the result alive for most of the match, while Trefa supplied the first blood, the only headshot and the longest shot. Sentinel produced a game in which every lead had to be won again and again, until Vulgarus finally locked it down in the last seconds.
