Jano Wins DM-KBarge Thriller with the Final Rocket
Eight lead changes, one five-kill streak and a final rocket settled everything.
On October 18, 2026, DM-KBarge staged fourteen minutes and five seconds of disorderly precision. Jano, Rockjock, Ostrelovac and Vybusnina entered Normal Deathmatch with a straightforward target: be the first to reach 30 points. The route was anything but straightforward. The lead changed eight times, short-range exchanges collided with longer shots, and retaliation often arrived almost before a victim could be forgotten. Jano would finish with 33 kills but also three self-inflicted deaths, a costly combination. Rockjock saw an opportunity and kept the top of the scoreboard fiercely contested until the very last seconds.
First blood, self-inflicted rockets and an unsettled opening
Rockjock drew first blood at eleven seconds, dropping Ostrelovac with a Flak Cannon from just 3.3 metres. No opponent was killed for the next 36 seconds, the longest such quiet spell of the match, although Ostrelovac lost a point to his own Bio Rifle at second 32. At second 47 Jano took out Rockjock with a rocket, only to die in the same blast. His score remained at zero. Vybusnina entered the scoring at second 50, ensuring the opening minute already had several different stories.
Vybusnina looked especially dangerous early on. Flak Cannon kills took her to three points by second 90, five by second 154 and seven by second 227. Jano fought back with rockets, Rockjock added Link Gun kills, and Ostrelovac rotated among Shock Combo, Bio Rifle and Flak Cannon. The fourth minute featured eleven enemy kills, the first peak of the contest, and every player contributed at least two. No one was going to win this one merely by making a promising start.
Jano finds his rockets; Rockjock refuses to yield
Toward the end of minute five, Jano began putting a run together. Rockjock fell at second 299, Vybusnina at 307 and Ostrelovac at 316. But Jano also killed himself with that third rocket, leaving his score at ten. Another hit on Vybusnina took him to eleven at second 329. It was an aggressive approach that delivered results while repeatedly flirting with the cost of its own explosions. The numbers showed momentum, but not yet security.
Rockjock had an immediate answer. He rocketed Ostrelovac at 331 and earned a Flak Cannon Double Kill against Jano three seconds later. Further eliminations at 349, 358 and 363 pushed him to twelve points, whereupon Jano returned the favour at the very same second: 12-12. Rockjock struck again at 369 to lead 13-12. Those exchanges turned the sixth minute into another fast stretch. The duel for first place was now a proper argument, with neither player prepared to let the other have the final word.
A fresh Jano surge and the match’s only headshot
Jano recovered his rhythm after the midpoint. At second 419 he rocketed Ostrelovac, repeated the feat at 434, and removed Vybusnina at 440. Rockjock became the next target at 451. The scoreboard now read Jano 17, Rockjock 13: a gap produced by identifiable hits rather than any imagined spell of untouchable map control. For the moment, the Rocket Launcher had given Jano a little breathing room. With three competitors still taking points off one another, even that margin felt provisional.
The supporting cast refused to play quietly. Ostrelovac scored a Flak Cannon Double Kill against Jano at second 419, then delivered the match’s only headshot at 478, sniping Rockjock from an unexpectedly close 4.3 metres. Rockjock claimed a Link Gun Double Kill over Ostrelovac at 469; Vybusnina brought Jano down with Flak Cannon at 480. Different weapons kept rearranging the threats. Nobody could put the controller down for a victory speech yet, even if one name briefly looked comfortable at the top.
Rockjock’s five-kill streak flips the balance
Rockjock launched his defining streak by eliminating Jano at second 484. He followed with kills at 526, 540, 548 and 560, collecting five without dying. The Flak Cannon hits at 548 and 560 were particularly painful for Jano: Rockjock led 20-18 after the second. Only at second 611 did Ostrelovac finally end the streak with a rocket. That intervention helped loosen Rockjock’s grip on the lead, although Ostrelovac was chasing points for himself rather than acting as anyone’s ally.
Jano responded by reaching twenty at second 619. He added important kills at 667, 672 and 686 to climb to 24, while Rockjock reached 23 at 698. At second 738 a Rockjock rocket briefly made it 25-24, but Jano fired back in the same second to restore a 25-25 tie. The thirteenth minute produced eleven enemy kills, matching the fourth as the most violent minute on the log. Even this late, the match refused to settle into a predictable procession toward thirty.
Shock Combo fireworks before the final rocket
Jano struck Vybusnina at second 754 and Rockjock at 763 to open a decisive gap. Rockjock still reached 26 at 774, but Jano removed him at 804, then Ostrelovac at 806. That Rocket Launcher Double Kill brought Jano to 29 points. One more would end the match, but the final moments belonged briefly to someone else. The possibility of a spectacular late diversion was still very real.
Vybusnina landed three successive Shock Combo kills at 831, 834 and 836, taking down Jano, Ostrelovac and Rockjock. The sequence rose from a Double Kill to a Multi Kill, and the hit on Ostrelovac travelled 54.8 metres, the longest confirmed kill of the entire contest. Vybusnina’s score jumped from fourteen to seventeen. Jano, however, had not lost the target. At second 845 his Rocket Launcher finished Vybusnina, delivered point thirty and ended the match on his own terms.

The final standings were Jano 30, Rockjock 26, Ostrelovac 22 and Vybusnina 17. That ranking tells you who won, not how unsettled the contest remained. Jano had 33 kills offset by three self-inflicted deaths. Rockjock owned the longest streak, Ostrelovac the only headshot and the interruption that ended that streak. Vybusnina collected both the longest kill and the highest Multi Kill level. The average lives lasted thirty seconds for Jano, thirty-six for Rockjock, twenty-five for Ostrelovac and twenty-nine for Vybusnina. Nobody had much time to admire a successful shot. Ultimately, Jano won not by avoiding mistakes, but by answering them with one more accurate rocket.
