MVP goes to Vulgarus for victory, a 13-kill streak, two headshots and 12 immediate revenge kills. Zerker earns the streak-stopper honour, freedie00 first blood, and Kegger the dubious distinction of receiving the longest logged shot.
Vulgarus conquers DM-Gateway with 13 straight kills
freedie00 fired the opening shot, but Vulgarus delivered the final verdict.
On August 3, 2026, six names appeared on the DM-Gateway scoreboard in Normal Deathmatch, but only one reached the 30-point target. Vulgarus won 30–18 ahead of Municak, with Zerker third on 12 and freedie00 fourth on 11. The score hides a far more turbulent story. freedie00 drew first blood, the lead changed three times, and the defining run did not begin until deep into the second half. The match lasted 23 minutes and 37 seconds, leaving room for immediate revenge, costly self-inflicted deaths and a distance reading that would make any sniper inspect the log twice.
First blood belonged to freedie00
At 34 seconds, freedie00 eliminated Vulgarus with a Link Gun from 13.6 metres. Vulgarus answered against Zerker at 61 seconds, only for freedie00 to defeat him again at 96 seconds, taking a 2–1 edge. Zerker then scored against Vulgarus and Municak. By 139 seconds, freedie00 had three points while Municak still had none. No one had a monopoly on the opening minutes.
Vulgarus caught freedie00 at 3–3 with a Shock Combo at 167 seconds. Five seconds later, Municak entered the scoring with a Sniper Rifle hit on Vulgarus. At 275 seconds Vulgarus tied freedie00 again, 5–5, but survived that duel with just seven health points. This was an opening of narrow margins rather than comfortable control.
Municak presses while Vulgarus finds range
At 335 seconds, Vulgarus used a Shock Rifle to defeat freedie00 from 38.6 metres. Municak answered Vulgarus with his own Shock Rifle from 40.3 metres just five seconds later. At 424 seconds, a Rocket Launcher kill brought Municak within one point, 6–7. Zerker also repeatedly interrupted Vulgarus, keeping several rivals in the picture.
Municak then surrendered a point to his own Flak Cannon at 522 seconds, immediately after killing freedie00. Vulgarus landed a headshot on Municak at 604 seconds and repeated the feat at 803 seconds. At 714 seconds he led Municak 13–9. The match recorded three lead changes overall, but Vulgarus had started to prove he could protect a lead rather than merely seize it.
Thirteen unanswered kills change everything
At 846 seconds Vulgarus killed Zerker with a Shock Rifle, reaching 16 points and launching the decisive streak. Municak and Zerker followed as victims, with Shock Combos, Stinger shots and rockets keeping the tally climbing. Even the longest gap between kills, 93 seconds from 909 to 1002, failed to disrupt the run.
From 846 to 1257 seconds, Vulgarus collected 13 kills without dying. His Shock Combo against Zerker at 1236 seconds was logged as a Double Kill. Municak recorded 19 kills but one suicide reduced his score to 18. Vulgarus reached 28 points at 1257 seconds, and Zerker finally ended the streak using a Stinger at 1284. It was a memorable interruption, though far too late to overturn the score.
A remarkable range and the final Flak Cannon
At 1303 seconds Kegger killed Strelko with an Enforcer, and at 1362 seconds he surprised Vulgarus with a Shock Rifle. Vulgarus struck back three seconds later; the log attributes an extraordinary 2,494.3 metres to that Shock Rifle kill against Kegger. This is the recorded distance, not an independently verified route across the map.
Municak piled on late kills against Zerker, helping make the 23rd minute the busiest with six kills. Vulgarus stood on 29 points after retaliating against Kegger. In the final recorded second, 1417, he eliminated Kegger again, this time using a Flak Cannon, to reach 30. There was no final reversal: Municak finished on 18, Zerker on 12, freedie00 on 11, Kegger on two and Strelko on zero.

A 30–18 result alone misses the characters of this fight. freedie00 took first blood; Municak fought his way into second place; Zerker delivered the blow that stopped the longest streak; and even late entrant Kegger scored against the eventual champion. Yet Vulgarus had the decisive combination of endurance and scoring: an average life of 88 seconds, 12 immediate revenge kills and a streak of 13. The mysterious 2,494.3-metre reading deserves a footnote, but the winner requires none. Vulgarus reached the 30-point target first.
