Humans vs bots

hemeroid takes MVP honours for 30 points, 35 kills, a three-hit Multi Kill and 14 revenge kills. --UW-- deserves recognition for a seven-kill spree and two headshots; Rozparovac claims first blood and the rather less coveted record of eight suicides.
hemeroid wins the DM-Deck rocket thriller by two points
Deck handed out leads early, snatched them back late, and charged full price for every mistake.
Twenty minutes and fifty-nine seconds on DM-Deck turned a Normal Deathmatch into a test of aim, composure and self-preservation. The six names at the finish told six different stories: hemeroid won with 30 points, --UW-- followed with 28, Jano had 10, Rozparovac 7, Kanonyr 4, and Trefa 0. Yet the numbers hide a match with six lead changes, sudden shifts in intensity, and self-inflicted losses that made a rocket every bit as dangerous to the shooter as the target. The first blood belonged to somebody other than the eventual winner, and the last minute threatened to overturn everything that had happened before it. hemeroid would have to earn the final word.
First blood, falling bodies and a messy opening
Just five seconds in, Rozparovac hit Kanonyr with the Flak Cannon from 4.3 metres. That was the match's official first blood. hemeroid answered by rocketing Rozparovac at 0:32, then Kanonyr at 0:46 from 49.2 metres. Bio Rifle kills against Trefa at 1:16 and Kanonyr at 1:21 raised his score to four, but DM-Deck immediately collected a toll: a fall at 1:34 cost him a point. There was no room for a ceremonial lap of honour.
Kanonyr struck hemeroid with the Shock Rifle at 2:34 and a Shock Combo at 2:47. Trefa found kills with the Link Gun and Flak Cannon, but suicides dragged his total down. hemeroid killed himself with rockets at 2:57 and 3:35 and fell again at 3:13. Rozparovac, despite his opening strike, also saw points vanish through his own deaths. Kanonyr led with three at the end of minute three; by minute six he shared the lead on four with Rozparovac. Six lead changes across the match were rooted in this extraordinary early disorder.
A three-rocket signature and a 69-metre strike
At 6:32, 6:33 and 6:35, hemeroid sent Rocket Launcher shots into Rozparovac, Kanonyr and Trefa. The log awarded a Double Kill on the second and a Multi Kill on the third; his tally reached seven. Then came the longest elimination of the night: a Redeemer hit on Kanonyr from 69 metres at 7:52. By the end of the eighth minute hemeroid was on ten points, his explosive approach leaving a distinctive signature on the match.
The cast on the scoreboard was changing. Trefa's participation ended at about 6:52, and Kanonyr's at 8:05. --UW-- first appeared in the kill log as the victim of hemeroid's rocket at 7:25, but retaliated at 7:58. Jano was first recorded as a victim at 8:50 before beginning his own comeback. Rozparovac collected more eliminations, yet also blew himself up with a Redeemer at 9:46. The six-player scramble was narrowing into a contest where hemeroid's greatest challenger was only just gathering momentum.
Shock Combos against rockets: seven in a row
From 7:58 until 10:04, --UW-- put together the match's longest killing streak: seven consecutive eliminations. His victims included hemeroid, Jano and Rozparovac, and four of the kills used Shock Combo. The burst also included a Double Kill on Jano at 9:55. hemeroid ended the spree with a Stinger kill at 10:04. That interruption mattered: --UW-- was cutting into his lead and could otherwise have closed the gap still faster. At the end of minute ten the score between them stood at 11–7; a minute later, hemeroid had stretched it to 15–7.
Jano had no intention of merely filling out the podium. He eliminated hemeroid with the Enforcer at 10:56 and --UW-- with a rocket six seconds later, then kept collecting kills. He could disrupt both contenders, but his own rockets cost him points at 13:10 and 13:51. The longest interval between successful kills was 51 seconds after 12:37, although a suicide occurred during that interval. At 14:03, hemeroid landed another long-range rocket kill, this time on Jano from 67.4 metres.
When one point outweighs a whole streak
hemeroid led 20–14 after minute fifteen, but by minute seventeen the gap had shrunk to 22–19. --UW-- chipped away using Shock Rifle, Shock Combo and rockets. At the end of minute eighteen it was 23–21, after nineteen 24–23, and after twenty 26–25. hemeroid worsened his own arithmetic with another rocket suicide at 17:42. Rozparovac even eliminated --UW-- with the Link Gun at 18:46, but the deciding battle had moved firmly to the top two positions.
The twenty-first minute registered nine events, more than any other. --UW-- killed Rozparovac at 20:05 and 20:12, then eliminated Jano with a Shock Combo at 20:21 to lead 28–26. hemeroid answered with a rocket against --UW-- at 20:29 and another against Jano at 20:34: 28 all. At 20:39 Rozparovac hit hemeroid with the Flak Cannon, but in the very same second hemeroid rocketed Rozparovac and moved ahead 29–28. At 20:58 he eliminated Rozparovac again, this time with the cause recorded as Slime. Final result: 30–28. It was not a comfortable defence of a lead; it was a comeback assembled under maximum pressure.

There is an intriguing paradox in the final numbers. hemeroid recorded 35 kills but gave back five points through suicides. --UW-- secured 28 kills without a single self-inflicted death, and his average life lasted 60 seconds compared with hemeroid's 44. The winner attacked more often and paid more dearly for errors. Yet his 14 immediate revenge kills, compared with ten by --UW--, reveal how frequently he answered a setback with a fresh elimination. Anyone expecting a quiet finish instead got nine events in the final minute and a result that was not sealed until 20:58. On DM-Deck, the last word belonged to the competitor who always came back to his rockets.
