Anub1ss conquers Maliwan with a thirteen-kill streak
hemeroid drew first blood, Jano launched a rocket counterattack, but Anub1ss turned Maliwan into a long chain of precise replies.
DM-MaliwanBeta2 delivered exactly the kind of Deathmatch where the scoreboard first promises an open firefight and, only a few minutes later, one player is dictating the rhythm of the whole map. hemeroid struck first: at six seconds he hit Spawnfrag with the Flak Cannon and six seconds later added Palic, so the opening belonged to him. Anub1ss cut into that lead at 20 seconds, tied it 2:2 at 34, and from there the shape of the match began to change. Jano stayed in pursuit and later produced the sharpest short burst of the night, but Anub1ss remained the most persistent threat across almost eight minutes.
First blood to hemeroid, then the leader arrives
hemeroid opened with two Flak kills at 6 and 12 seconds and briefly looked ready to impose his own rhythm in Maliwan's tight spaces. Anub1ss answered by killing hemeroid at 20 seconds and tied the score 2:2 with a Rocket Launcher hit at 34. Jano entered the scoring at 55 seconds with a Sniper Rifle kill on Anub1ss, only to receive an immediate Flak reply eight seconds later.
From 72 to 130 seconds Anub1ss repeatedly collected silent_ and hemeroid and climbed to 9 points. The first notable multikill came at 125 seconds when silent_ fell right after Jano, registering a Double Kill. A key pattern was already visible: Anub1ss averaged 52 seconds per life, clearly the longest among the regular four, which meant fewer resets and more continuity from fight to fight.
Jano fires the rocket counterattack
Between 153 and 163 seconds, Jano delivered the fiercest counterpunch of the match. With the Rocket Launcher he dropped hemeroid, then Anub1ss five seconds later, silent_ at 162 and hemeroid again one second after that. The last two kills formed a Double Kill and then a Multi Kill; in a very short window Jano moved to 7 points and showed he could break a growing lead when his rocket rhythm connected.
silent_ stopped him at 168 with a Shock Combo and repeated the trick on Anub1ss twenty seconds later. The third minute was also the busiest of the entire match with 11 kills. The minute-by-minute pace was 7, 7, 11, 8, 6, 9, 10 and 7 kills, so there was almost no genuinely quiet phase.
Thirteen kills that tore the table apart
The decisive break began at 196 seconds. Anub1ss killed silent_ with the Flak Cannon, later added another with the Enforcer, then took Jano twice with the Stinger and stayed alive all the way to 357 seconds. The run reached 13 kills and gradually turned a competitive contest into a clear escape. At 294 he added a Double Kill with Shock Combo against silent_ and Jano; at 313 and 324 he took Jano twice in succession with rockets and opened the score to 21:10.
Jano finally ended the spree at 357 seconds with the Rocket Launcher, reducing the score to 12 against Anub1ss's 23. It was an important moment of resistance, but not a comeback. Anub1ss also recorded 10 revenge kills, silent_ five and Jano one, showing that the winner's edge was not only one long spree but a repeated ability to answer quickly after being killed.
Range, weapons and the silence after 235
Most engagements were short to medium range, yet hemeroid produced the longest shot of the match: at 222 seconds he hit silent_ with the Sniper Rifle from 41.7 metres. His average kill distance was 16.6 m, above Anub1ss at 12.1, silent_ at 11.3 and Jano at 10.7. Even so, explosive and close-range weapons did most of the damage: the Rocket Launcher produced 19 kills and the Flak Cannon 15.
The longest pause lasted only 21 seconds, from 235 to 256. That is why the match felt so dense. There were no headshots at all, so accuracy was expressed not through highlight-reel headshots but through consistently using the right weapon at the right distance.
Finale: a suicide only delays point thirty
After 395 seconds, when Jano killed Anub1ss with the Flak Cannon while surviving on one health, the leader still held a comfortable advantage. Rocket kills on Jano, hemeroid and silent_ followed, then another Jano at 416 and a 29:13 score. silent_ stopped Anub1ss with the Rocket Launcher at 433 and Jano added a kill on silent_, but at 448 Jano lost a point to his own Flak Cannon.
Anub1ss then committed a Flak Cannon suicide at 454 and dropped from 29 to 28, adding a small comic twist to the finish. He recovered with a Sniper Rifle kill on silent_ at 474 and the final Link Gun kill on Jano exactly at 479 seconds. The 30-point target was complete.
Match moments
- hemeroid scored first blood at six seconds with the Flak Cannon against Spawnfrag.
- Jano chained four rocket kills from 153 to 163 seconds and finished the burst with a Multi Kill.
- The third minute was the busiest, producing 11 kills.
- Anub1ss built a 13-kill spree from 196 to 357 seconds.
- Jano ended that spree with a Rocket Launcher kill at 23:12.
- hemeroid landed the longest kill of the match from 41.7 metres with the Sniper Rifle.
- After a suicide at 454 seconds, Anub1ss still reached 30 and closed the match with the Link Gun.
The 30:13 result for Anub1ss looks emphatic, but the route to it was not a straight line. hemeroid started best, Jano produced a violent rocket burst and silent_ repeatedly punished opponents with Shock Combo. The difference was Anub1ss's ability to live longer, answer deaths quickly and remain productive with several weapons. Even after complicating his last two points with a self-inflicted Flak Cannon death at 454 seconds, he finished cleanly: first the Sniper Rifle, then the Link Gun on Jano. Maliwan ended with a clear victory that was created in the middle of the match rather than in the final seconds.
