Anub1ss takes DM-Edge after a late breakaway, 30:23
Five lead changes, rockets everywhere, and a closing stretch in which Anub1ss finally shut the door on the chase.
DM-Edge started at full speed. Only five seconds in, greg417 scored first blood on Lamka with the Bio Rifle and immediately set the tone for a match built on rapid exchanges. Jano answered with Rocket Launcher kills at 44 and 49 seconds, sergey2203 joined the scoring with the Bio Rifle, and Anub1ss did not record his first kill until 56 seconds, when he hit greg417 with the Shock Rifle. That was not a slow match from Anub1ss, only a delayed ignition. The game produced five lead changes, and the real question soon became who could survive long enough to turn a temporary lead into control.
The opening: greg417 sets the pace
greg417 followed first blood with another early kill on Lamka and reached four points by 73 seconds. hemeroid, Jano and sergey2203 stayed close as most fights happened at short range. Longshot briefly entered the action by killing hemeroid with the Link Gun at 38 seconds, but one second later a self-inflicted rocket removed that point and left him at zero. Lamka also left a mark on the scoreboard for the wrong reason, finishing at -1 after a suicide.
Anub1ss was building something more durable. From 56 seconds onward he rotated through the Shock Rifle, Shock Combo, Flak Cannon and Rocket Launcher without dying. Flak kills on hemeroid at 119 seconds and sergey2203 at 128 seconds brought him to six points and level with the front. greg417 still had the early initiative, but Anub1ss was beginning to win the survival battle.
Ten kills without dying
The longest spree ran from 56 to 212 seconds. Anub1ss collected ten kills without a death, using four different weapon types along the way. At 188 seconds he killed sergey2203 with the Flak Cannon and took a solo 8:7 lead. greg417 answered at 196 seconds with a Rocket Launcher Double Kill and moved to nine, briefly recovering the initiative. Anub1ss then killed hemeroid twice, reached ten at 209 seconds and went back in front.
At exactly 212 seconds greg417 delivered the needed response: a rocket killed Anub1ss, ended the ten-kill spree and tied the game 10:10. After Jano's kill at 216 seconds came the longest quiet spell, 25 seconds without a frag. The pause ended violently at 241 seconds with two kills in the same second, and the race for first effectively restarted.
Minute six explodes
The busiest minute was the sixth, from 300 to 359 seconds, with 15 kills. Jano opened it with a Flak Cannon kill on sergey2203 and two seconds later killed greg417 for a Double Kill. Anub1ss responded with a Shock Combo and a rocket on Jano, while hemeroid and sergey2203 kept feeding the scoreboard. At 326 seconds greg417 tied Anub1ss at 14:14; at 335 Anub1ss led 15:14; at 338 it was tied again.
The strangest long-range moment had actually come earlier: at 135 seconds sergey2203 killed Jano with the Bio Rifle from 55.5 metres, the longest kill of the match. During the frantic sixth minute Jano struck again, killing hemeroid at 354 and sergey2203 at 356 for his second Double Kill. greg417 stopped him at 359 and pulled level with Anub1ss at 16:16.
From 17:16, Anub1ss never gives it back

The score moved from a tight contest to 24:19.
