The story's MVP is Ironguard: winner, owner of the seven-kill streak and leader in immediate revenge kills with twelve. Klicka takes first blood, Jano the distance record and hemeroid credit for breaking the longest streak and restoring scoreboard tension.
Ironguard turns the tide and seals victory on Penetrated
Four opening deaths for the winner, seven unanswered kills and two final flak shots: this was a race to thirty.
Match 142 on UT3.sk brought a Normal-mode Deathmatch to DM-1on1-Penetrated that refused to follow first impressions. Ironguard began with four deaths and no points, yet after 14 minutes and 56 seconds his name stood beside the winning thirty. hemeroid finished on 26 points and Jano on 25, but six lead changes, self-inflicted explosions and sharp revenge kills separated temporary control from the final result. Klicka opened the evening, Rambajz heated up the Flak Cannon and trajbalajko entered the late action loudly enough for everyone to notice. Here the scoreboard was no prediction, merely a snapshot of the firefight in progress.
Klicka opens while Ironguard takes the hits
First blood belonged to Klicka: at 0:04 he eliminated Rambajz with the Enforcer from 3.4 metres. Four seconds later he hit Ironguard with the Link Gun, then repeated the same victim at 0:15. Three kills without dying gave him three points while the eventual winner looked like an exceptionally willing score supplier. Rambajz also killed Ironguard twice during the opening, linking his hits against him and hemeroid at 0:19 and 0:20 into a Flak Cannon Double Kill. Two entirely different names therefore owned the start from the one that would own the result. hemeroid stopped Klicka at 0:32 with the Bio Rifle, surviving the kill with just six health.
Ironguard did not score his first point until 0:53, eliminating Rambajz with the Link Gun. He then accumulated points, although Rambajz still moved ahead 7:6 at 2:56. The decisive response grew from a streak beginning at 2:41: Ironguard collected seven kills without dying, switching between Link Gun, rockets, Flak Cannon and a Shock Combo against hemeroid at 3:48. By 4:50 he had 12 points to Rambajz's nine. hemeroid ended that longest streak at 5:22 with a Link Gun hit from 1.7 metres. At that distance a dramatic story arc becomes a very personal conversation. Ironguard remained on 12, hemeroid reached nine and the match was still far from decided.
The lead evaporates and Bio Rifle changes the mood
The export records ten kills against opponents in the eighth minute and the same total in the tenth. Ironguard combined rocket kills against Jano and Rambajz at 7:07 and 7:10 into a Double Kill; by 7:48 he led on 19 points. hemeroid patiently closed the gap, rocketing Rambajz at 8:47 to level the score at 19:19. Another exchange came at 9:04: Rambajz hit hemeroid with the Link Gun, but hemeroid answered with the Bio Rifle in the same second. He reached 20 and took the outright lead. Ironguard equalised at 9:18, and later both players also met on 21 points. No substantial advantage survived here without further work.
Two Bio Rifle kills against Jano at 9:51 and 9:58 took Ironguard to a 23:21 advantage over his nearest rival. The longest silence lasted only 24 seconds, from 10:07 to 10:31; even the break programme was brief. Rambajz then took down Jano, Ironguard and hemeroid, but his final kill came at 10:48. Jano reserved his big moment for 11:59, eliminating Rambajz with the Bio Rifle from 40.7 metres, the match's longest distance. He added hemeroid at 12:02 for a Double Kill; three Bio Rifle kills since 11:52 had lifted him from 17 to 20 points. Yet trajbalajko ended that streak with the same weapon at 12:04. The late participant sent a green projectile instead of a business card.
A crowded finish and two flak signatures
Ironguard complicated his progress with his own rockets at 11:03 and 12:28, giving even his lead a couple of maintenance breaks. Meanwhile Jano repeatedly used the Bio Rifle, killing trajbalajko at 12:44 and 13:03 and hemeroid at 13:12. Jano and hemeroid then both held 23 points, with Ironguard on 26. The leader answered at 13:19 by using the Link Gun against hemeroid to reach 27. His rival still responded: Link Gun kills against trajbalajko and Ironguard at 13:48 and 13:50 earned a Double Kill and cut the gap to 25:27. Nobody near the front enjoyed a comfortable ending; every death created room for another scorer.
At 14:14 hemeroid killed Jano with the Bio Rifle and reached 26, only one point behind Ironguard. Just three seconds later Ironguard eliminated him with the Shock Rifle to reach 28. Jano struck the leader with the Enforcer at 14:25 and also reached 26, but deducted a point with his own Bio Rifle at 14:38. trajbalajko killed hemeroid at 14:48, leaving him on 26. The last two scoring events belonged to Ironguard: he eliminated Jano with the Flak Cannon from 6.6 metres at 14:51, then trajbalajko with the same weapon from 2.9 metres at 14:56. Point thirty ended the match. The log does not mark that five-second pair as a Double Kill; it was a precise two-step finish that shut the door on everyone else.

The opening account closed with a very different signature from the one promised by the first seconds. Player average kill distances were only 3.9 to 12.2 metres.
