KST Turns the Tables on DM-Codex with a Final Combo
From Longshot’s flying start to Nanoblack’s streak, this Deathmatch went down to the very last Shock Combo.
DM-Codex delivered 21 minutes and six seconds of Unreal Tournament 3 in which the scoreboard refused to settle down. KST eventually reached the 30-point target, but Nanoblack finished on 27, Rachot on 25 and Longshot on 24, each having made a serious claim to the spotlight. The lead changed five times as weapons, ranges and momentum shifted. It began with a close-range hit just six seconds in and ended with a Shock Combo on the final second. There was another twist hidden in the numbers: Longshot registered 28 kills, more than the runner-up, but four suicides reduced his score to 24. Every mistake counted here as much as an accurate shot.
First blood and the rocket getaway
Rachot struck first in the sixth second, hitting Nanoblack with a Link Gun from 3.2 metres. First blood belonged to him, yet it was Longshot who seized the early lead. At 28 seconds he used a Rocket Launcher against Rachot, then hit Nanoblack with the same weapon three seconds later. That was a Double Kill, the first of three recorded in the match. By the 130-second mark Longshot had seven points while KST had yet to score.
KST finally answered at 152 seconds, rocketing Nanoblack from 39.3 metres. He followed up on Rachot and took down Nanoblack again at 168 seconds. Still, Longshot led KST 8–3 at 198 seconds and reached ten points by 274 seconds. Rachot traded damage at close range, while Nanoblack countered with Shock Combos and sniper shots. Nobody could afford to look away from the scoreboard.

Nanoblack struck KST and Longshot with a Link Gun at 346 and 353 seconds before completing a Double Kill against KST with a Shock Rifle at 357 seconds. Longshot continued scoring, Rachot regularly checked his progress and KST chipped away at the deficit. At 438 seconds Nanoblack scored another Double Kill, this time using a Flak Cannon to eliminate Rachot.
Nanoblack reached 15 points at 552 seconds and 16 at 567, when KST still had only 11. The scoreboard then read Nanoblack 16, KST 15. Five changes of leader were no statistical accident; every lapse gave another contender the chance to rewrite the order.
