Match history — match detail
biggest overkill: hemeroid (111 dmg) · airborne kills: 38 · gutsiest kill: Jano (2 HP)
Match verdict: Two phases decided hemeroid’s 30–29 victory over Jano: the comeback from 484 to 527 seconds and the Shock Rifle Double Kill in the last two seconds. Jano’s four rocket suicides erased the advantage from his higher kill total.

MVP goes to hemeroid: a 30–29 win, six consecutive kills and eleven immediate revenge kills. Deckrat claims first blood and the only headshot, while Jano wins the rocket barrage award, with a warning label for four own goals.
Devastation thriller: hemeroid steals the final point
Five lead changes, four Double Kills and one final second that rewrote the standings.
Six competitors entered DM-1on1-Devastation on October 15, 2026, for a Normal Deathmatch with a simple target: reach 30 points first. Nothing else about the contest was simple. Deckrat struck first, Nabeh took command, Jano relied on a torrent of rockets, and hemeroid waited before launching his comeback. The final table almost looks misprinted: hemeroid on 30, Jano on 29 and Deckrat on 22. Yet Jano recorded more actual kills than the winner. Four deaths to his own rockets cut into his score, and across 17 minutes and three seconds the lead changed five times. The last decisive hit landed at the very end.
First blood and an unlikely leader
Only eleven seconds had passed when Deckrat killed Nabeh with the Link Gun from 12 metres. That is the authoritative first blood. At 21 seconds Ampjunkie also caught Nabeh with the Stinger, only for Deckrat to eliminate Ampjunkie two seconds later. hemeroid opened his account by rocketing Jano at 72 seconds. At 87 seconds, Deckrat and hemeroid even traded lethal blows at the same recorded moment: a Shock Combo in one direction, a Bio Rifle hit in the other.
The early contest increasingly belonged to Nabeh. He reached six points at 232 seconds, ten at 330 and twelve at 364, while hemeroid had only six at that last checkpoint. Jano stayed within range and Deckrat kept collecting Stinger kills. Nabeh used an eclectic mix of Flak Cannon, Link Gun, Bio Rifle and rockets, so the leader did not look like a one-weapon specialist. No one could safely call the result yet.
Rockets, penalties and the turn
Jano answered with the Rocket Launcher. He eliminated hemeroid at 404 and 415 seconds, Deckrat at 457, and hemeroid again two seconds later to earn a Double Kill. But his full-throttle style came with a price. Self-inflicted rocket deaths at 95 and 108 seconds had already erased points, and another at 425 seconds raised the count to three. After the Double Kill at 459 seconds, his scoreboard showed thirteen points rather than the sixteen his kill tally might have suggested.
The balance shifted between 484 and 527 seconds. hemeroid eliminated Jano twice, then Deckrat, then Nabeh one second later. That last pair earned a Double Kill and pushed him to fifteen points. The Bio Rifle did much of the work, with the Shock Rifle helping to close the gap. The player who had spent the early stages chasing was suddenly on top.
Six unanswered kills
The match’s longest spree belonged to hemeroid: six consecutive kills between 484 and 592 seconds. Deckrat finally ended it with a rocket at 592. But hemeroid was dangerous well beyond close quarters. At 394 seconds he had already scored the longest recorded kill, hitting Deckrat with a Rocket Launcher from 52.6 metres. That is sniper-range distance, even if the projectile was unmistakably a rocket.
The sixth minute was the busiest according to the computed breakdown, with ten kills. At the other extreme, the log shows a 59-second gap after the 911-second mark without a recorded kill. Average engagement ranges also distinguish the main contenders: 15.1 metres for hemeroid and only 9.3 for Jano. The winner survived an average of 46 seconds per life against Jano’s 33. Immediate retaliation mattered too: hemeroid delivered eleven revenge kills and Jano eight, turning grudge matches into a measurable statistic.
The final minute and final second
At 807 seconds hemeroid reached 25 points. Jano then fired through a burst of rocket kills between 850 and 888 seconds, largely against mike1234 and Deckrat. Another self-inflicted explosion at 888 seconds cost him the extra point. hemeroid responded with a Sniper Rifle kill against mike1234 and two Bio Rifle kills against Jano; at 911 seconds he led 28–24. Then came the unusual 59-second scoring silence.
At 970 seconds Deckrat caught hemeroid with a Shock Combo from 46.2 metres. Jano raced back, rocketing Deckrat at 979, hemeroid at 992 and 999, then Deckrat again at 1003 and 1012. Suddenly Jano led 29–28. With the clock at 1022 seconds, hemeroid killed Deckrat using the Shock Rifle to draw level. One second later the same weapon struck down Jano. A Double Kill, the thirtieth point and the finish: a final twist no scriptwriter needed to embellish.

- Deckrat drew first blood against Nabeh with the Link Gun at 11 seconds.
- Nabeh had 12 points at 364 seconds; hemeroid had only six.
- Jano earned a Double Kill at 459 seconds but lost four points to his own rockets overall.
- hemeroid built a six-kill streak from 484 to 592 seconds, finally stopped by Deckrat.

- Jano led 29–28 at 1012 seconds before hemeroid stole the win with two last-second kills.
The result was 30–29 to hemeroid, although Jano actually secured 33 kills, three more than the winner. The difference came from four self-inflicted Rocket Launcher deaths, a sturdier survival record and a perfectly timed final Double Kill. Deckrat finished on 22 with first blood, the only headshot and several consequential interventions. Nabeh ended with 15, mike1234 with two and Ampjunkie with one. The lesson was not merely to aim accurately. In this match, staying alive and keeping your own explosions away from yourself were just as important.
