Match history — match detail
biggest overkill: hemeroid (98 dmg) · airborne kills: 26 · gutsiest kill: hemeroid (4 HP)
Match verdict: hemeroid won 30–23 because his six-kill streak after the 13–13 tie at 271 seconds created a lead that lasted. Jano kept his frag count close, but four suicides damaged his net score and ability to recover. The second Double Kill at 28–19 effectively secured the run to the target.

MVP honors go to hemeroid for 30 points, a six-kill streak, two Double Kills and 14 immediate revenge kills. Jano recorded seven revenge kills, Odstrel the lone headshot, and Headhunter the longest hit: plenty of side awards, but one clear winner.
Korumi under fire: hemeroid survives the rocket duel
Jano fired first, but hemeroid saved the decisive rocket for the finish.
DM-1on1-Korumi hosted a Deathmatch on 15 October 2026 that reached its 30-point goal after 587 seconds of action. The six names on the scoreboard were hemeroid, Jano, Odstrel, Headhunter, Rockjock and mike1234. Rockets soon became the common language, although aiming well was only part of the challenge: a fatal encounter with your own explosion removes a point. That rule would matter greatly before the final whistle. The match delivered six changes of the lead, two Double Kills, a six-kill streak and an unexpectedly spectacular long-range shot late on. A final score of 30–23 looks comfortable at first glance, but it hides several periods when the favorites were barely separated and neither side could claim the match was under control.
First blood, immediate payback
Jano wasted precisely three seconds before claiming first blood. His Rocket Launcher caught hemeroid from nine meters away, setting a suitably explosive tone. At 12 seconds, mike1234 used the Bio Rifle to kill Jano; at 21, hemeroid struck back against Jano with a rocket of his own. More rockets followed at 31 and 34 seconds, giving hemeroid three kills and the first Double Kill after he hit Odstrel. Anyone expecting a measured opening had clearly entered the wrong arena.
Odstrel added a remarkable detail at 44 seconds: a Sniper Rifle headshot against mike1234, the only headshot recorded in the entire match. At 72 seconds, hemeroid moved to 5–3 over Jano, surviving that kill with just seven health points. mike1234 brought him down with a rocket in the very same second. Every burst of momentum therefore came with a warning: Korumi was full of players willing to interrupt it.
Jano takes the lead
Jano began hunting mike1234 with the Flak Cannon, landing kills at 84, 101 and 108 seconds. At 132 seconds the two frontrunners were level at 6–6, but Jano then landed rockets on hemeroid at 159 and 165 seconds to make it 9–7. The pressure was real, and so was the cost of mistakes. At 174 seconds, Jano lost a point to his own rocket before immediately earning it back by killing mike1234. Spectacular as that sequence looks in a log, it brought him no net progress on the scoreboard.
hemeroid recovered to 11 points with kills at 200 and 205 seconds, but Jano killed Odstrel and then hemeroid to make it 11–11 at 217 seconds. Another direct duel at 231 seconds put Jano ahead 12–11. He was still leading 13–12 when he killed hemeroid at 271 seconds. In the very same second, however, hemeroid replied with his own rocket and tied the match at 13–13. This exchange marked the hinge of the contest.
The six-kill turning point
That equalizer began the longest unbroken killing spree of the match. hemeroid took down Jano at 271 seconds, Odstrel at 282, and mike1234 with the Stinger at 302. He then switched to the Bio Rifle, removing Jano at 314, mike1234 at 319 and Jano again at 323 seconds. Six consecutive kills without dying had pushed the scoreboard to 18–14. Jano eventually stopped the streak at 343 seconds with a rocket from 23.1 meters, but ending a run and erasing its effects were two different jobs.
hemeroid's change of weapons mattered. The Bio Rifle delivered repeated kills while rockets remained the dominant threat elsewhere. Jano was still earning frags, yet he lost additional points to his own rockets at 356 and 410 seconds. hemeroid reached 22 at 377 seconds, with Jano sitting on 16 after those costly incidents. The match was no longer just a contest of who could hit the target: keeping earned points was becoming the more valuable skill.
The last rockets
At 454 and 469 seconds, hemeroid hit Jano twice with rockets and rose to 24. Jano found a reply against mike1234 at 481, but hemeroid then scored four times between 489 and 504 seconds. The kills at 502 and 504 counted as his second Double Kill and lifted him to 28–19. With only two points needed, even a spirited comeback would have required much more than a good shot.
Jano killed hemeroid at 512 seconds, Odstrel eliminated Jano at 521, and hemeroid reached 29 by killing Odstrel at 530. Then came the longest silent spell: 29 seconds without a kill. Jano broke it at 559 seconds. Headhunter made his brief appearance count, killing hemeroid with the Link Gun at 564, falling twice to Jano, then shooting Jano from 42.5 meters with the Enforcer at 582—the longest kill of the night. Finally, at 586 seconds, hemeroid hit Odstrel with a rocket for the thirtieth point. The score was 30–23 and the argument was over.

After nine minutes and 47 seconds, Jano's opening strike had become a 30–23 win for hemeroid. The winner recorded 30 kills, 13 deaths and no suicides; Jano produced a dangerous 27 kills, but four self-inflicted rocket deaths reduced his score to 23. The gap is about more than accuracy: it reflects control over the scoreboard when every lost point hurts. Odstrel delivered the sole headshot, Headhunter landed the longest shot and mike1234 disrupted the favorites in several exchanges. Rockjock was present only briefly. Korumi provided a familiar lesson with an especially loud soundtrack: a player does not win by firing the most rockets, but by ensuring that the useful ones count.
