Humans vs bots

MVP goes to winner Mieridlo with 30 points and 15 immediate revenge kills. Jano takes the six-kill spree crown, Vybusnina takes the 47.9-metre long-shot award, and Ironguard gets recognition for his late Stinger pressure; Jano also receives the less welcome four-rocket-suicides distinction.
Mieridlo Survives Jano’s Rocket Storm on Devastation
Thirty kills each, four own goals and a very expensive lesson in rocket physics.
On October 18, 2026, four competitors entered DM-1on1-Devastation for match 291 on UT3.SK. The mode was Deathmatch (Normal), the winning target was 30 points, and the clock would stop at 11 minutes and 51 seconds. What followed was not a straightforward race. Mieridlo and Jano both registered precisely 30 kills, yet their scores finished four points apart: 30 for Mieridlo and 26 for Jano. The difference was not hidden in their accuracy or ammunition supply. It lay in a Rocket Launcher that occasionally found its owner. Ironguard and Vybusnina supplied more than background noise, repeatedly disrupting the leaders and producing crucial moments of their own. Across four lead changes, no one could comfortably assume that a temporary advantage would survive the next explosion.
First blood at six seconds
Mieridlo needed only six seconds to draw first blood, dropping Jano with the Enforcer from 2.9 metres. Ironguard dispatched Vybusnina with a Link Gun at 14 seconds, and three seconds later Mieridlo brought his own score to two with a rocket against Ironguard. Vybusnina gave Jano a punishing start, hitting him with a Sniper Rifle at 27 seconds and a Stinger at 56. Mieridlo and Ironguard even traded kills within the same 58th second. The score chart was already looking restless, while Jano was still searching for his first point.
Then Jano found his rhythm, or more precisely his Rocket Launcher. He killed Ironguard at 79 seconds, Vybusnina at 88 and Mieridlo at 99. By 142 seconds he had five points; Mieridlo's Shock Combo against him one second later brought the leaders level at 5–5. Sniper Rifle hits in seconds 167 and 172 allowed Mieridlo to pull ahead again, only for Jano to shoot him down in seconds 173 and 182. The battle was being fought at close and middle ranges, and every exchange made the standings feel temporary.
The sniper answers the silence
An Enforcer shot against Jano at 188 seconds gave Mieridlo an 8–7 edge. Then came the match's longest gap without a kill: a full 30 seconds. Vybusnina broke that quiet at 218 seconds, killing Jano with a Sniper Rifle, then Mieridlo one second later for a Double Kill, and Ironguard at 225. Jano responded with a rocket against Vybusnina at 227, but the burst proved that the race for first place could be interrupted by anyone.
Mieridlo struck with Bio Rifle and Enforcer around 270 seconds, while Jano kept relying on rockets. At 288 seconds Mieridlo sniped Jano from 28.8 metres; in the very same second Vybusnina scored the longest recorded hit of the entire match, a 47.9-metre Shock Combo against Mieridlo. It was just shy of the 50-metre sniper-distance benchmark, but no less impressive. At 306 seconds both Ironguard and Jano lost a point to their own rockets. Mieridlo answered with kills at 314 and 315 seconds, the latter a Link Gun Double Kill. By 334 seconds his lead over Jano had grown to 15–9.
Six rockets, one comeback, a costly mistake
Jano refused to fade away. From 393 through 439 seconds, he took six consecutive kills, all with the Rocket Launcher: Mieridlo, Vybusnina, Ironguard twice, Mieridlo again, and Vybusnina once more. That was the longest spree of the game. Vybusnina finally ended it with an Enforcer kill at 443 seconds. Jano reached 17 points, then surged past Mieridlo at 467 seconds, making it 19–18. Two more rockets at 472 and 474 seconds lifted him to 21–18, the second hit counting as a Double Kill. The comeback suddenly looked complete.
But rockets cut both ways. The log records Jano killing himself again at 500 and 517 seconds, following the earlier self-inflicted death at 306. His lethal weapon was turning into a penalty machine. Meanwhile, Mieridlo moved between Sniper Rifle, Flak Cannon, Enforcer and Link Gun instead of forcing every encounter through one weapon. At 533 seconds he shot Jano with the sniper for a Double Kill and moved to 21–20. At 545 he hit Jano again, this time with Flak Cannon, to reach 22–20. The lead was back in his hands, and Jano's explosive comeback now had a painful accounting problem.
Thirteen kills in a minute and a final Link Gun shot
The eleventh minute, spanning seconds 600–659, proved the busiest: 13 kills. Ironguard struck with the Stinger against Jano and Mieridlo, while Jano blasted Vybusnina and Ironguard with rockets. Yet Jano had suffered his fourth rocket suicide at 595 seconds, making it impossible for his total of 30 kills to translate into 30 points. Mieridlo kept taking the safer route to the scoreboard. At seconds 642 and 643 he collected a Stinger Double Kill against Jano and Ironguard and rose to 27 points. It was the exact opposite of a spectacular spree that evaporates under penalties.
Mieridlo made it 28 by defeating Vybusnina with the Link Gun at 655 seconds, then 29 with a Shock Rifle against Ironguard at 689. Vybusnina replied immediately with Flak Cannon, and at 695 seconds Jano also brought down Mieridlo with Flak Cannon, climbing to 26. Ironguard levelled his own score with Vybusnina at 18–18 in second 698. The final word, however, belonged to the leader: at precisely 711 seconds Mieridlo killed Ironguard with a Link Gun from 6.4 metres, survived on 12 health and secured the 30-point target. The final margin was four points.

Mieridlo finished first on 30, Jano second on 26, while Ironguard and Vybusnina tied at 18. Mieridlo's 30 kills were matched exactly by Jano's 30, but the comparison stops there: Jano had four suicides with the Rocket Launcher and Mieridlo had none. The leaders' immediate revenge counts were close, 15 for Mieridlo and 14 for Jano, and their average lifetimes were just 23 and 25 seconds. Four lead changes show how hard both had to fight. This match offered a familiar Unreal Tournament moral, delivered with unusually clear arithmetic: a rocket that defeats an opponent is helpful; a rocket that also defeats you can decide an entire Deathmatch.
