Match history — match detail
biggest overkill: hemeroid (124 dmg) · airborne kills: 37 · gutsiest kill: Jumpboots (2 HP)
Match verdict: hemeroid won Normal Deathmatch 30–18 over Jano because his uninterrupted thirteen-kill run between seconds 89 and 267 turned the match’s lone lead change into a lasting advantage. Fourteen rocket kills and only two suicides, against Jano’s five, protected that margin.

hemeroid fires up the rockets as Jano runs out of answers
Municak struck first, but hemeroid delivered the final answer.
The map was called DM-1on1-Devastation, yet match 301 on UT3.sk was anything but a quiet one-on-one affair. Eight competitors appeared in the record of this 700-second Normal Deathmatch, racing toward a 30-point limit. hemeroid emerged with 30 points, followed by Jano on 18, Jumpboots on 14 and Bourak on 13. Rocket Launcher explosions were a recurring theme, and Jano even donated five points back to the arena through self-inflicted deaths. There was just one recorded lead change, but no shortage of smaller scores to settle along the way.
Municak claims first blood and the early lead
At five seconds Municak blasted Jumpboots with a Flak Cannon from 7.1 metres, the authoritative first blood. hemeroid answered in the eighteenth second by taking Jano down with a Sniper Rifle. By 74 seconds Municak had five points; even after hemeroid killed him at 89 seconds, the eventual winner had just two.
Municak mixed Link Gun, Flak Cannon and Sniper Rifle attacks, with five of his eight kills coming against Jumpboots. Jano used Flak Cannon and rockets, but another rocket suicide at 89 seconds erased a precious point. Somewhere behind those uneven numbers, however, hemeroid was finding a far more consistent rhythm.
A rocket-powered takeover and thirteen unanswered kills
From 140 seconds the future champion began collecting victims in sequence: Jumpboots, Jano, Municak, then Jano again. At 180 seconds he tied Jano on six, at 184 seconds a rocket against Jumpboots registered as a Double Kill, and at 189 seconds another Jano elimination took him to eight. Municak had seven at that point; he briefly reached eight at 194 seconds, before hemeroid scored his ninth twelve seconds later.
At exactly 210 seconds two rockets felled Jumpboots and Municak, with the second elimination marked Double Kill. hemeroid stood on eleven points, pushed to fourteen by 257 seconds, and completed an extraordinary spree of thirteen kills without dying between 89 and 267 seconds. Jumpboots finally ended it with a Bio Rifle shot at 267. There is a lovely twist in that choice of weapon: Jumpboots had already hit hemeroid with the match's longest kill, another Bio Rifle strike at 43.9 metres in the 51st second. hemeroid averaged 15 metres per kill, against just 8.5 for the close-range specialist Jano.
Jano attacks back as the supporting cast gets louder
Jano refused to disappear quietly. Between 271 and 315 seconds he rocketed hemeroid, mike1234, hemeroid again, and eventually hemeroid once more. His charge came at a cost: at 296 seconds an encounter with Jumpboots also produced a self-inflicted rocket death. Longshot made a fast impression with Flak Cannon kills at 303 and 305 seconds, the latter a Double Kill. Jumpboots answered by removing Longshot with a Shock Rifle at 315 seconds, then mike1234 two seconds later for a Double Kill of his own. The middle of the game had fresh troublemakers, but still only one leader.
hemeroid countered with his Link Gun, taking down Jano from 40.9 metres at 321 seconds and Longshot from 30 metres at 325. Jano suffered further rocket suicides at 357 and 379 seconds, just when he needed every point. Bourak joined the fighting in earnest: he killed hemeroid at 395 seconds, while the leader struck Jano at 415 and 426. At 450 seconds the scoreboard showed hemeroid on twenty points to Jano's twelve. Only after 548 seconds did everyone enjoy the match's longest quiet stretch, a 34-second pause without a kill: practically an advertising break by this arena's standards.
The eleventh minute catches fire and Bio Rifle closes it
Jano reached fifteen with a rocket kill at 582 seconds, but hemeroid pushed on to twenty-four by 597. Nanoblack claimed his sole elimination against Jano at 601, before his own Shock Rifle suicide at 619 returned his score to zero. hemeroid collected Flak Cannon kills at 626 and 635, though a self-inflicted rocket at 643 cost him a point. Minute 11 delivered 12 kills, the highest total in the match.
At 659 seconds hemeroid earned another rocket Double Kill against Bourak, and despite another self-inflicted rocket at 666 still reached 28 points. Bourak retaliated with eliminations of Jano and hemeroid, the latter a Double Kill at 676. One second later a Bio Rifle shot put hemeroid on 29. Jano rocketed him at 685; Jumpboots struck him with a Sniper Rifle at 698. Neither could stop the finish: at 699 seconds hemeroid used the Bio Rifle to eliminate Jano and seal the 30–18 result, almost precisely at the end of the allotted 700 seconds.
