Vulgarus Takes Facemash with a Ruthless Final Surge
Nine lead changes, rockets, flak and a finish in which Vulgarus turned a tight three-way fight into clear control.
DM-Facemash did not begin like a victory parade for the eventual winner. Freylih drew first blood after 10 seconds by hitting Trefa with the Rocket Launcher, while Vulgarus complicated his opening with self-inflicted rockets and had fallen to -2 after two suicides. Trefa stayed close through his Flak Cannon and the lead kept moving among the three active contenders. Biosludge disappeared after only ten seconds and one suicide. Nothing yet suggested that Vulgarus would dictate the closing stretch; getting there required surviving nine lead changes, a five-kill spree and a growing command of rockets, the Shock Rifle and Shock Combo.
Rockets hurt both enemies and owners
Freylih opened the match with first blood on Trefa at 10 seconds, but the early order was anything but stable. Vulgarus blew himself up at 16 and 57 seconds, while Freylih also lost a point to a rocket suicide at 18. Trefa answered with the Flak Cannon and kept the top of the table crowded.
After Vulgarus caught Trefa with a Shock Combo at 122 seconds, the match entered its longest quiet spell: 68 seconds without a kill. When action resumed, Trefa dropped Vulgarus with flak, Freylih answered on Trefa, and Vulgarus finally found rhythm. His rocket kills on Trefa and Freylih at 227 and 228 seconds produced a Double Kill and signaled that the poor start was recoverable.
The three-way fight turns into a traffic jam
From the fifth to the eighth minute the score compressed. Vulgarus reached 5:3, Trefa answered with two quick kills including a Double Kill, and Freylih climbed back with repeated Rocket Launcher hits. At 414 seconds Freylih led 7:6, but Trefa then cut through both opponents and reached 8 points by 436 seconds.
The eighth minute was one of the two busiest periods of the match, with nine kills. Quick revenge was a defining feature: Vulgarus recorded 19 immediate revenge kills, Trefa 13 and Freylih 12. The rivalry data even produced a tie at the top, with Vulgarus–Freylih and Vulgarus–Trefa both totaling 28 mutual kills.
Trefa owns the close range, Vulgarus changes tempo
Around the ninth and tenth minutes Trefa looked especially dangerous. His Flak Cannon fit the tight fights on Facemash, and a Double Kill at 560 seconds helped him move to 12 points while Vulgarus sat on 10. Freylih remained close by mixing rockets, Bio Rifle and shock attacks.
Vulgarus gradually widened the engagement range. At 698 seconds he regained the lead, 14:13, with the Shock Rifle on Trefa. His average kill distance was 12 meters, compared with Freylih's 9.9 and Trefa's 7.2. The numbers mirror the tactical split: Trefa wanted close contact, while Vulgarus increasingly created room for rockets and shock weapons.
Five kills that break the match open
The decisive run came from 785 to 870 seconds. Vulgarus killed Freylih with a rocket, then eliminated Trefa three times with Shock Rifle, Rocket Launcher and Flak Cannon, before adding another rocket kill. Five unanswered frags pushed him to 20 points and finally separated him from the pack. Freylih ended the spree with the Shock Rifle at 870 seconds, but the gap remained.
Freylih still landed a Shock Combo at 895 seconds, yet Vulgarus answered quickly and kept scoring with flak, rockets and shock. By 923 seconds he had reached 24. The seventeenth minute then matched the eighth with nine kills, but by then the chaos favored the player already in front.
Shock Combo closes the door
In the final minute Vulgarus kept the pressure controlled. He killed Trefa with flak at 985 seconds, then hit Freylih with a 32.6-meter Shock Combo at 994 seconds, the longest kill of the match, and followed with another Shock Combo twelve seconds later.
The kill log closes at 1054 seconds with two final actions: Freylih rockets Trefa, then Vulgarus hits Freylih with Shock Combo. That log shows Vulgarus reaching 30, matching the frag limit, while the final player table in the export lists him on 28. The two sections disagree on the numeric total, but not on the placing: Vulgarus first, Freylih and Trefa on 20, Biosludge fourth on -1.

Facemash delivered a match decided less by clean control than by recovery from mistakes and superior closing form. Freylih opened the scoring, Trefa established a dangerous flak game through the middle, and Vulgarus first had to repay the cost of five suicides. Once his five-kill spree began at 785 seconds, the balance shifted for good. The export's final table gives Vulgarus 28 points, while the kill log reaches 30 at the frag limit; both records agree on the essential fact that the last word belonged to Vulgarus, and it came via Shock Combo.
