MVP goes to Vulgarus for 30 points and rocket efficiency; Freylih takes the longest-spree award with eight kills. Trefa leaves with first blood and the longest hit, so nobody gets to call his night empty.

Vulgarus rules RisingSun with rockets and cool finish

DM-RisingSun did not begin like a winner’s procession. At 14 seconds Trefa used the Link Gun to send Vulgarus to the first respawn, taking first blood and the first lead. In that same second Vulgarus answered with a rocket and immediately tied the score. Freylih joined seven seconds later, and the opening made one thing clear: this Deathmatch would not settle down. The score moved around early, but the match ultimately contained only one lead change. Once Vulgarus moved in front, he dictated most of the evening’s rhythm, above all with the Rocket Launcher, which became the deadliest weapon of the match.

Opening rush: everyone scores, then Vulgarus breaks away

The opening was compressed and violent. Minute two produced six kills, the highest single-minute total of the match, and by 118 seconds all three players had landed several blows. Trefa worked around the Link Gun and rockets, Freylih mixed the Rocket Launcher with Shock Combos, and Vulgarus kept returning to the weapon that would define his night. At 38 seconds he rocketed Freylih, and further hits slowly pulled him away from the level start.

The first clear break came from 161 to 212 seconds. Vulgarus killed Freylih at 161 but also blew himself up with the Rocket Launcher, yet the mistake did not kill his momentum. He followed with Trefa at 174, Freylih with the Flak Cannon at 177 as part of a Double Kill, Trefa at 182, then Freylih again at 208 and 212, the second of those another Double Kill. The score reached 10:4 over Freylih, giving Vulgarus the first substantial cushion of the match.

Rockets protect the lead, but nobody disappears

Freylih kept pushing. At 242 and 271 seconds he removed Vulgarus with the Rocket Launcher and Bio Rifle, and later added the Stinger. Trefa continued to produce short bursts against both opponents, notably hitting Vulgarus with the Stinger at 354 and Freylih with the Flak Cannon at 363. The match was never a simple walkover, even though the scoreboard stayed on Vulgarus’s side. His strength was repeatability: short and medium ranges, rockets, pressure, and very few long empty stretches.

By the middle of the match, the styles were obvious. Vulgarus averaged 10.7 meters per kill and scored 20 of his 32 kills with the Rocket Launcher. Freylih operated farther out at 14.4 meters and used a broader toolkit: nine Shock Combos, six rocket kills and five Shock Rifle kills. Trefa fought closest at 9.5 meters on average and got most of his weapon kills with the Flak Cannon. RisingSun had become a collision of three different preferred combat distances. Immediate revenge kills also showed how quickly the same duels restarted: Freylih had 13, Vulgarus 12 and Trefa 8. Vulgarus also averaged 42 seconds per life, compared with Trefa’s 35 and Freylih’s 32, helping explain why the leader could repeatedly rebuild his cushion.

Freylih’s eight-kill spree changes the mood

When Vulgarus reached 24 points after 809 seconds and Freylih had 15, first place looked under control. Then Freylih started the longest spree of the match. From 820 through 938 seconds he collected eight kills without dying: two opening hits on Trefa, Vulgarus with the Stinger, another Trefa with Shock Combo, Vulgarus with Shock Rifle as part of a Double Kill, Trefa with Bio Rifle, and then two more kills on Vulgarus. He rose from 15 to 23 points and turned a comfortable gap into a genuine threat.

The run was more striking because Freylih had already paid for four suicides during the match, the last coming at 967 seconds. Even so, he compressed the gap late. Vulgarus kept breathing room by scoring on Trefa at 893 and 930. The decisive interruption arrived at 954: Vulgarus hit Freylih with the Rocket Launcher, ended the eight-kill spree and moved the score to 27:23. Freylih answered with a Shock Combo at 977, but both the clock and the target score were now against him.

An Impact Hammer closes a rocket-driven night

The finish had its own strange elegance. Vulgarus reached 28 with a rocket on Trefa, Freylih returned after another self-inflicted death, and at 989 Vulgarus used the Flak Cannon to make it 29:23. Freylih still had time to rocket Trefa at 999 and reach his final score of 24. The last kill, however, did not belong to the weapon that had defined the match.

At 1018 seconds Vulgarus found Freylih only 2.4 meters away and finished him with the Impact Hammer while holding just five health. After 20 rocket kills, five with the Flak Cannon and three Shock Combo kills, he ended the match in the most physical way possible. The final 30:24:15 reflected a game built on rockets, but punctuated by a point-blank piece of metal.

  • Vulgarus recorded two Double Kills, at 177 and 212 seconds.

  • Trefa landed the longest kill: a 33.4-meter Bio Rifle hit on Vulgarus at 695 seconds.

  • Vulgarus ended Freylih’s spree with a rocket at 27:23.
  • Vulgarus scored the final point with the Impact Hammer from 2.4 meters while on five HP.

RisingSun will remember the winner’s consistency most of all. Vulgarus did not claim first blood or the longest spree, yet across most of the 16 minutes and 58 seconds he set the pace everyone else had to answer. Freylih produced the fiercest late surge, while Trefa opened the match and authored its longest-range kill. Victory belonged to the player who extracted the most from the most reliable weapon and, once the final major spree was stopped, never let the 30-point target drift away.

    Who killed with what

Each player's kills split by weapon. Reveals every fighter's favorite tool.

The Rocket Launcher led the match with 29 kills, including 20 by Vulgarus. Freylih leaned on Shock Combo and Shock Rifle, Trefa on the Flak Cannon, and no headshots were recorded.

Vulgarus played aggressively into short and medium ranges, where the Rocket Launcher repeatedly converted contact into points. Freylih preferred space for Shock Combo and Shock Rifle, and late in the match that let him stretch fights beyond pure rocket exchanges. Trefa sought tighter engagements with the Flak Cannon and Link Gun, but could not sustain a scoring run against steadier space control. The tactical break came at 954 seconds when Vulgarus closed the distance again and used a rocket to stop Freylih’s surge.
