Anub1ss rules Devastation and finishes with the Hammer
From the opening Shock Combo to the final Impact Hammer blow, Anub1ss never surrendered the lead for a single second.
DM-1on1-Devastation became the stage for a remarkably convincing performance on September 23, 2026. Anub1ss opened the scoring after 29 seconds with a Shock Combo on hemeroid, and from that moment the scoreboard never flipped to anyone else. That did not make the evening quiet. Jano warmed up with rockets, --UW-- hit Jano twice in succession early on, hemeroid looked for room to land cleaner long-range shots, and Deckrat joined later. The difference was that Anub1ss survived every smaller storm, accelerated at exactly the right moment, and in the second half turned Devastation into his own close-combat zone.
First blood, first warning
The opening 29 seconds were also the longest kill-free pause of the match. Then Anub1ss hit hemeroid with a Shock Combo from 17.2 metres and, seven seconds later, repeated the same trick on the same opponent. --UW-- answered with two Rocket Launcher kills on Jano at 38 and 48 seconds, but Anub1ss stayed in front. At 67 seconds he moved to three points with a Sniper Rifle kill on hemeroid. Nine seconds later hemeroid paid him back with the Link Gun and showed that the leader could be killed, even if he was going to be much harder to stop.
Jano then produced the first notable counterattack. At 92 seconds he rocketed --UW-- and three seconds later killed Anub1ss with the same weapon, earning the first of his two Double Kills; the second would arrive at 380 seconds. The momentum immediately came with a price, though: at 103 seconds Jano killed himself with his own rocket and lost a point. Devastation was already making it clear that excessive aggression would be taxed in full.
The gap grows, but the fight still bites
Between the second and fourth minutes the action spread across more weapons and more rivalries. hemeroid hit Jano twice with the Sniper Rifle, with the second shot at 146 seconds registering as a headshot. Anub1ss answered with his own headshot on --UW-- at 154 seconds, then began stretching the gap: Enforcer, Sniper Rifle, another sniper kill and a precise shot on Jano carried him to eight. A curious exchange came at 192 seconds, when Anub1ss killed Jano with the Sniper Rifle and Jano answered with a Rocket Launcher kill in the very same second. It was an instant trade that entertained everyone without disturbing the leader's rhythm.
hemeroid then produced the longest kill of the match: at 257 seconds he hit Jano with the Bio Rifle from 38.9 metres. With an average kill distance of 17.8 metres, he was also the player fighting from the greatest range. Anub1ss, by contrast, kept moving closer. From 213 seconds he started the spree that would decide the evening: Stinger on hemeroid, then Sniper Rifle, Link Gun, rockets and more clean finishes. His score kept climbing while the others gradually ran out of room for a comeback.
Ten unanswered kills turn the match into a chase
From 213 to 342 seconds Anub1ss collected ten kills without dying. After opening that stretch with the Stinger, he continued with the Sniper Rifle, Link Gun, Rocket Launcher and Bio Rifle, until --UW-- finally stopped the spree with the Flak Cannon. That sequence was the tactical breaking point. Anub1ss moved from nine points to eighteen while everyone else remained well behind. With zero lead changes, the question was no longer who was first, but whether anyone could slow the pace enough to make the finish uncomfortable.
Jano tried. At 345 seconds he rocketed hemeroid and eight seconds later hit Anub1ss from an extreme 1.9 metres. In that same second, however, he again paid for his own Rocket Launcher and committed his second suicide. Later came his best short burst: he killed Anub1ss with the Flak Cannon at 378 seconds and hemeroid two seconds later, earning his second Double Kill. By then Anub1ss had enough of a cushion to change the entire style of the match.
Impact Hammer signs the finished scoreline
From 371 seconds onward, the match became a showcase of point-blank fighting. Anub1ss switched to the Impact Hammer and recorded twelve kills with it across the match. --UW-- fell to the Hammer at 371, 402, 419, 432 and 440 seconds; Jano at 391, 466 and 502; hemeroid at 474; and Deckrat at 495, 529 and finally 537. Anub1ss finished with an average kill distance of only 8.4 metres, a number that perfectly matched how the ending collapsed into tight, physical encounters.
Deckrat still made himself heard after joining, scoring four kills in 93 seconds and even rocketing Anub1ss at 480 seconds. hemeroid added a Rocket Launcher kill on the leader at 511, while Jano hit Deckrat from 26.3 metres at 518. The final minute nevertheless belonged to pace: the ninth and partial minute contained ten kills, matching the seventh minute, which the computed data marks as the busiest. At 537 seconds Anub1ss struck Deckrat with the Impact Hammer from 0.9 metres and closed the match on the target score of 30.
