Kosmodisk turns Trite around with an eight-kill run
Smrtak set the pace until Kosmodisk rewrote the middle of the match with Flak Cannon blasts.
On October 15, 2026, UT3.SK hosted a Deathmatch on DM-1on1-Trite that refused to follow a straight line. Four contestants, ten minutes and forty-seven seconds, a target score of 30, and a finishing order that hid an early surprise: Kosmodisk won 30–24 ahead of Smrtak, while Hlavicka collected 19 points and Rikoset 17. Those standings barely describe the opening, when the eventual champion was still looking for his first point. The first shot arrived quickly, the reply arrived in the same second, and every player contributed something that survived the final scoreboard. The lead changed only once, but what a change it was.
First blood, immediate reply and a long-range warning
At 0:12 exactly, Smrtak drew first blood against Hlavicka with a Flak Cannon shot from 5.3 metres. Hlavicka answered with the Bio Rifle in that same second, levelling their personal exchange at 1–1. Rikoset joined the argument by eliminating Smrtak at 0:16, then produced the longest confirmed hit of the entire match at 0:36: a Sniper Rifle kill on Kosmodisk from 33.6 metres. It was a fine long shot, though still short of the 50-metre sniper threshold in the event notes.
Kosmodisk remained on zero at 0:50 when Hlavicka caught him from close range. The next registered kill came 21 seconds later, the longest scoring lull of the match. Then the comeback began: at 1:27 Kosmodisk caught Hlavicka, six seconds later Rikoset, and immediately afterward he recorded a Double Kill against Hlavicka. Three points appeared where there had been none. Smrtak, however, still held the early initiative, and the match was far from turning.
Smrtak leads and his pursuer refuses to disappear
Smrtak leaned heavily on the Link Gun during the opening half. At 2:32, 2:37 and 2:58 he eliminated Rikoset, Kosmodisk and Kosmodisk again, eventually reaching 8–5 over his main challenger. By 3:38 their scores read 10–7, with a striking exchange of Flak Cannon kills between the two at the very same second. Kosmodisk increased the pressure and cut the gap to 9–10 at 4:11, but Smrtak found more points and kept his nose ahead.
The fifth game minute, from 4:00 through 4:59, was the busiest of all: thirteen kills. Rikoset repeatedly returned to the fight, Hlavicka switched between Flak Cannon and Rocket Launcher, and Smrtak found victims even with the Enforcer. At 4:58 Smrtak stood at 14–11 against Kosmodisk. Nobody had left the match or withdrawn from the contest. Every fresh elimination rearranged the chase, yet the leader's apparently secure advantage was about to expire.
One change of leader and an eight-kill escape
At 5:42, Smrtak had 15 and Kosmodisk 13. Then came the turning sequence. Kosmodisk eliminated Hlavicka with the Flak Cannon at 5:58, struck Smrtak with the same weapon at 6:05, and seven seconds later caught Smrtak again, this time with a Rocket Launcher. The score was level at 15–15 in 6:05; by 6:12 it was 16–15 to Kosmodisk. The match summary records just one lead change, and this was it.
The following seconds show why the reversal stuck. Between 5:58 and 6:57, Kosmodisk built an eight-kill spree without having it interrupted: the gap stretched through 18–16 and 20–16 to 21–16. A Double Kill on Smrtak at 6:30 mixed into the run, supported by Flak Cannon and Rocket Launcher kills. Rikoset finally ended the spree with an Enforcer shot at 6:57. He applied the brakes, but the cart had already rolled downhill.
A widening gap, two self-inflicted setbacks
Kosmodisk carried his momentum forward. Double Kills arrived at 7:12 against Hlavicka with a Rocket Launcher and at 7:35 against Rikoset with a Flak Cannon. By the second of those moments he led Smrtak 26–18. Rikoset was still making himself heard: he owned the match's 33.6-metre hit, halted the winner's best streak, and later registered a Double Kill on Kosmodisk at 9:50. Fourth in the table did not mean invisible on the battlefield.
Then came the champion's oddest chapter. After eliminating Rikoset at 8:37, Kosmodisk suffered two own-goals with the Rocket Launcher, dropping from 26 to 25 points by 8:44. Meanwhile Hlavicka led the revenge statistics with fourteen immediate returns, ahead of Kosmodisk's eleven. Smrtak refused to concede, using the Shock Rifle for kills at 9:29 and 9:39 to close the score to 22–26. The chase lived, but the lead never switched back.
The last minute and a Flak Cannon full stop
At 9:48 Rikoset eliminated Smrtak with the Link Gun, followed it with a Double Kill against Kosmodisk at 9:50, and struck Smrtak again at 9:56. His successful kills had the greatest average range, 10.6 metres, and he picked up nine items. The principal contenders then reclaimed the finish: Kosmodisk removed Smrtak with a Rocket Launcher at 10:13 and scored on Hlavicka at 10:20. Smrtak still reached 24 points, but there was too little time for another swing.
At 10:34 Kosmodisk rocketed Smrtak again and moved to 29–24. Hlavicka landed a Link Gun hit on the leader at 10:38, but the final line belonged to Kosmodisk: at 10:47 he hit Hlavicka with a Flak Cannon from 5.3 metres. That sealed 30–24; Hlavicka finished on 19 and Rikoset on 17. The margin was decisive, even if the route there had offered more than enough twists for a full evening's commentary.

Smrtak recorded 25 kills and 24 points. Hlavicka had 24 kills but paid for five self-inflicted losses, finishing on 19; Rikoset turned 18 kills into 17 points.
