Jano Holds Off KST: DM-Deck Decided by the Final Kill
Eight consecutive kills, three lead changes and a two-point margin after the very last shot.
On October 16, 2026, five competitors met on the DM-Deck map in a Deathmatch on UT3.sk, with the target set at 30 points. After 877 seconds, Jano finished first on 30, while KST stopped just short on 28. Strelko delivered the first blood, Ungodlike and Granatnik repeatedly disrupted the leaders, and the contest turned into a duel between powerful rockets and KST's varied weapon choices. There were three lead changes, two sniper headshots and a remarkable eight-kill streak. Self-inflicted deaths also shaped the scoreboard. Most remarkably, the match still hung in the balance just seconds before Jano secured his final point.
An Enforcer opens the account
Strelko drew first blood at 12 seconds, taking down Jano with the Enforcer. At 38 seconds he eliminated Ungodlike with a Flak Cannon. Meanwhile, Ungodlike had lost a point to his own rocket and KST followed with the same costly mistake at second 39. The longest gap between kills then ran for 47 seconds after second 38.
Jano replied to Strelko with a rocket at second 85 and again at second 117. Just one second later, KST hit Jano with a Shock Combo.
Eight kills and a vanished lead
Jano's decisive streak started at second 140 with a rocket kill against KST. At second 146, Strelko was the next victim. The streak continued until Jano struck KST again at second 273, completing eight uninterrupted kills. That final hit was a Double Kill and left Jano leading KST 10–4. The Rocket Launcher was doing extraordinary work, especially in repeated close-range encounters.
KST finally broke the spree at second 286 using Shock Combo. Two seconds later he eliminated Ungodlike the same way for his own Double Kill. His recovery continued with rocket attacks, and at second 334 the scoreboard was level at 10–10. A six-point deficit had disappeared. Rather than retreating after Jano's explosive run, KST had rebuilt the entire contest.
Redeemer gives and takes away
At seconds 345 and 346, Jano used the Redeemer to eliminate KST and Strelko. Unfortunately for him, that same second brought a self-kill, reducing his score back to 11. Granatnik joined the fireworks at second 365: one Redeemer strike eliminated Ungodlike and Jano for another Double Kill. On DM-Deck, a devastating weapon was not necessarily a safe shortcut to victory.
Strelko had already headshot Jano with a Sniper Rifle from 30.2 metres at second 300. At second 400, Ungodlike scored a close-range surprise with the Impact Hammer against Jano from 2.5 metres. Jano continued with rockets, Redeemer shots and later Flak Cannon kills, while KST refused to disappear. Even exchanges involving the other three players kept changing the championship race.
KST draws level; Stinger steals the scene
KST reached 15–14 over Jano at second 516. Jano levelled nine seconds later and took the lead again at second 534. The score stood at 16–16 in second 539, 17–17 in second 556 and 20–20 in second 658. Jano alternated rockets with the Flak Cannon; KST spread his kills among the Link Gun, Shock Combo, Bio Rifle and other options.
Ungodlike interrupted the leaders with three rapid Stinger kills against KST, Jano and Strelko between seconds 629 and 634. The third was a Multi Kill, the match's highest multikill level. Granatnik also chipped in with timely eliminations, even though later slime deaths hurt his score. Jano's rocket kills at seconds 664 and 668 gave him breathing room once again, but nothing close to a decisive cushion.
From 26–26 to the final strike
At second 792, KST used the Link Gun to tie the game at 26–26. Jano answered with a Sniper Rifle kill against Granatnik at 799, only for KST to draw level again at 27–27 in second 812. Meanwhile, second 785 featured the match's longest kill: Strelko headshot Ungodlike with a Sniper Rifle from 47.8 metres, his second headshot overall.
Jano shot Granatnik with a rocket at 846 to lead 28–27. Strelko then eliminated KST and Granatnik at second 857, bringing a late Double Kill into the mix. Jano rocketed Granatnik again at 863 for 29–27, but KST downed Jano with the Link Gun at 866 and closed to 29–28. The answer arrived exactly at second 877: Jano eliminated Strelko with a Flak Cannon. The final score was 30–28, and there was no time left for one more comeback.
