Match history — match detail
biggest overkill: hemeroid (95 dmg) · airborne kills: 47 · gutsiest kill: hemeroid (7 HP)
Match verdict: Jano won Normal Deathmatch on DM-1on1-Devastation 30:27:24:19 because his early rocket-powered cushion withstood his own mistakes. Stopping hemeroid’s seven-kill run at second 786 proved pivotal; the late chase narrowed the margin but never reversed the order.

Jano survives hemeroid late rush on Devastation map
The leader never changed, but the final two minutes tested everyone’s nerves.
Four names arrived on DM-1on1-Devastation for a Normal Deathmatch: Jano, hemeroid, Presnak and Bourak. The target was 30 points, and the clock eventually reached 987 seconds, or sixteen minutes and twenty-seven seconds. This was no leisurely exhibition. Opportunities appeared quickly, mistakes were punished, and the scoreboard could feel far closer than the official zero lead changes might suggest. Jano put his trust in the Rocket Launcher; hemeroid would later answer with the longest streak of the match; Presnak and Bourak did plenty to disrupt both. Rockets repeatedly dictated the fighting, although the weapon that eventually sealed victory was something else. That twist belongs to the final second, not the opening trailer.
First blood comes with a blast-radius bill
At ten seconds, Jano struck hemeroid with a Rocket Launcher from 9.4 metres to claim the official first blood. He repeated the trick against the same opponent at second 20. Bourak opened his own account by hitting Presnak with a Shock Rifle at second 13. At second 27, Jano also killed Presnak, only to die to his own rocket in the very same second. Three enemy kills had produced just two scoreboard points. A rocket may be loyal to its trajectory, but it has no loyalty to the person who fired it.
Between seconds 67 and 83, Jano blasted Presnak three more times and reached five points. Presnak found an answer with the Sniper Rifle, taking out hemeroid at second 93 and Jano from 32.9 metres at second 98. hemeroid collected important early kills against Bourak, while Bourak mixed a Shock Rifle, Flak Cannon and Link Gun. After two minutes, Jano led hemeroid 6–3. The supporting cast was already making sure that no route to 30 would be entirely comfortable.
An equalizer, but no change of guard
Second 184 offered a wonderfully brutal exchange. hemeroid killed Jano with the Sniper Rifle, and Jano answered with a Rocket Launcher during that same second. At second 234, hemeroid fired a rocket to tie the top two at 8–8. He never moved ahead, however. Jano promptly switched to a profitable burst with the Flak Cannon: Bourak fell at 249, and Presnak at 254 and 266. The tie had been real, but so was the response. The record of zero changes in leadership survived a genuine test.
Aggression also produced a series of self-inflicted deductions. hemeroid lost a point to his own rocket at second 287, Jano did likewise at 311, and Presnak met an unfortunate Bio Rifle fate at 319. After six minutes, Jano held a narrow 11–10 advantage over hemeroid. Then came the longest gap between kills, 40 seconds from 420 to 460. It was a pause in the record, not proof that the arena had suddenly become peaceful. Jano and hemeroid each found their way into more self-inflicted trouble as the middle portion developed.
Ten kills in a minute, and Presnak strikes back
Minute nine, from second 480 through 539, delivered ten kills, more than any other minute. Jano hit Bourak at 487 and hemeroid at 493 with rockets. A second later he also caught Presnak, but immediately died to another of his own rockets. Presnak seized the opening: an Enforcer kill on hemeroid at 501, a Flak Cannon kill on Jano at 506, then another flak strike on Bourak at 507. That last blow earned the Double Kill label. The busiest minute had a clear breakout performer, even if the leader remained unchanged.
Presnak continued to cut the gap with a Rocket Launcher kill on Jano at second 523. Jano, though, found Bourak or hemeroid at the receiving end of rockets at seconds 550, 569 and 580. By the ten-minute mark, he led on 18, with Presnak second on 15 and hemeroid back on 11 after his rocket accidents. The contest was not a simple two-player chase. Every time one rival surged, another interrupted, and the map kept charging a toll in damage and lost points.
Seven in a row and one final point to find
At second 621, hemeroid began his defining run: seven kills in one streak, lasting until 786. He used rockets, Shock Rifle, Flak Cannon and Bio Rifle. Bio Rifle hits on Bourak at 773 and Presnak at 777 produced a Double Kill on the second strike. At second 786, Jano hit hemeroid with a rocket to end the seven-kill streak; his own kill also carried a Double Kill tag. Jano reached 29 points. Victory looked one elimination away, but at second 811 he killed himself with another rocket and fell back to 28.
The closing minutes belonged largely to the chasers. hemeroid sniped Jano at seconds 895 and 920; the second shot, from 41.3 metres, was the longest kill of the match. He added Shock Rifle and Bio Rifle kills, then a rocket against Bourak at 970 to reach 27. Presnak scored another Double Kill at 929 and eliminated Jano with a Shock Rifle at 969. Jano had returned to 29 at 841, yet he stayed there until second 986, when a Bio Rifle shot on Bourak finally made it 30. Final scores: Jano 30, hemeroid 27, Presnak 24, Bourak 19. The most rocket-minded player won with a decidedly non-rocket ending.

The scoreboard closed at Jano 30, hemeroid 27, Presnak 24 and Bourak 19. Jano recorded 35 kills but five self-inflicted deaths, explaining why his final score was only 30; hemeroid had 30 kills and three such deductions. Nobody registered a headshot. hemeroid enjoyed the longest average life at 47 seconds, compared with 25 for both Jano and Bourak and 28 for Presnak. The finale was fittingly ironic: after 29 enemy kills with the Rocket Launcher, Jano secured the last point with a Bio Rifle. That last-second detail is the kind of footnote that makes a chaotic deathmatch worth retelling.
