Seven lead changes, Strelko wins the Axon Hangar duel
Longshot unleashed a nine-kill avalanche, but Strelko saved the final word for the last seconds.
DM-AxonHangar-2011 in Normal Deathmatch did not open with cautious probing; it started with immediate exchanges. Fraghound drew first blood after only 16 seconds, dropping KST with the Flak Cannon, and for the opening three minutes looked capable of wrecking every prediction. Strelko and Longshot stayed close, however, and the top of the table shifted so often that the match ultimately recorded seven lead changes. The decisive drama came later: Longshot’s nine-kill spree, Strelko’s repeated revenge kills, Granatnik’s disruptive late surge, and a finish in which the 30-point goal was reached only after the two leaders had traded control deep into the match.
Fraghound lights up the hangar
The first mark belonged to Fraghound. At 0:16 he caught KST with the Flak Cannon for the authoritative first blood. Longshot answered four seconds later against Strelko, while Strelko’s early Sniper Rifle kills on KST and Longshot pushed him briefly ahead. The opening remained tight and unstable; around three or four points, the name at the top changed almost as quickly as the weapons in play.
Fraghound then staged his own burst. At 153 seconds he hit KST with the Shock Rifle, three seconds later erased Strelko with a Shock Combo for a Double Kill, then added KST at 174 and Longshot at 176 for another Double Kill. His score climbed to 6, but a Flak Cannon suicide at 202 cut it back to 5. After Strelko’s kill at 192 came the match’s longest quiet spell: 78 seconds without a regular kill, ending when Strelko struck SEVA28600 at 270.
Longshot’s nine-kill avalanche
From 331 to 551 seconds, the match became Longshot’s corridor. He started the run with a Shock Rifle kill on SEVA28600, then leaned heavily on the Flak Cannon and Link Gun. Nine kills without dying made it the longest spree of the match. At 550 he finished SEVA28600 with the Link Gun for a Double Kill and led Strelko 12–9. He also collected a match-high 54 items, while his 9.3-meter average kill distance shows how often he forced close-range fights.
Exactly one second later, the run stopped. Strelko hit Longshot with the Flak Cannon at 551, then killed KST with the Link Gun from 49.8 meters at 562 and struck Longshot again seven seconds later. Longshot still had the edge, but the duel was open again. Strelko also amassed 11 immediate revenge kills across the match, the highest total in the field, so successful attacks against him had an uncomfortable habit of coming back almost immediately.
Granatnik throws chaos into the title race
Granatnik’s first recorded kill arrived at 1012 seconds, when a Stinger shot took Longshot down. From there he became less a contender for 30 than a spoiler capable of breaking both leaders’ rhythm. His signature moment came at 1136: a Bio Rifle hit on Strelko from 59.7 meters, the longest kill of the match. Later, at 1247 and 1248, he removed Strelko and Longshot in rapid succession with the Flak Cannon for a Double Kill, although a suicide one second later immediately cost him a point.
Meanwhile, Longshot and Strelko entered a direct sprint. Strelko tied the score 20–20 at 1091, Longshot moved back in front, and at 23 he still held the advantage. The key swing came at 1219, when Strelko killed Longshot with the Enforcer to make it 24–23. Longshot tied 24–24 at 1269, but Strelko replied at 1278 with the Link Gun for 25–24. No other player returned to first place after that moment.
The final meters belong to Strelko
The finish was not a clean victory lap. Between 1404 and 1506, Granatnik harassed Strelko with the Stinger, Link Gun and Flak Cannon, eventually reaching a maximum spree of six. Longshot remained close enough to threaten: he reached 25 at 1426 and later moved to 26. KST kept scoring against both leaders as well, and his most active head-to-head rivalry was with Strelko: the pair produced 15 mutual kills, with Strelko winning that exchange 11–4.
The deciding burst came after 1600 seconds. Strelko used the Link Gun on Granatnik at 1607 for point 28, then hit Longshot with the same weapon at 1619 for 29. Longshot still scored his 27th point on Granatnik at 1636, but the final duel belonged to Strelko. At 1645 seconds, a close Flak Cannon kill on Longshot froze the board at 30–27. After 27 minutes and 25 seconds, endurance, revenge kills and a better closing run separated the winner from the runner-up.

The 30–27 scoreline looks calmer on paper than the match felt in motion. Longshot owned the longest spree, collected the most items and controlled long stretches of the middle phase, but Strelko survived every wave and never surrendered the lead after the final tie. His average life of 74 seconds was the best in the field, and 11 revenge kills explain why opponents could never fully shake him. DM-AxonHangar-2011 therefore rewarded the player who did not rely on one explosive run, but kept finding an answer until the very last exchange.
