Humans vs bots
The war of the camps: how many kills fell between humans and bots in each direction. Reveals who really won the war of species. best human Jano (36 kills) vs best bot Spawnak (32 kills).
The winner’s signature goes to hemeroid, the five-kill spree award to Spawnak, and the revenge crown is shared by Jano and Spawnak with nine immediate revenge kills each. Longshot gets the lone headshot, while Jano owns the strangest contrast: the most kills, but also seven self-inflicted deductions.
Katami on a Knife Edge: hemeroid Wins by One Point
Thirteen minutes of chaos, ten lead changes, and one final rocket separated the winner from the chasing pack.
DM-1on1-Katami was anything but a quiet duel arena. Four players pushed toward the 30-point limit while the scoreboard refused to settle. Jano struck first with the first blood at 0:08, dropping Spawnak with the Rocket Launcher, but every early advantage proved fragile. hemeroid, Jano and Spawnak all threatened the lead, and the ten recorded lead changes capture how open the match remained. After 828 seconds, only one point separated first from second: hemeroid 30, Jano 29, Spawnak 28 and Longshot 22.
Early rockets, early penalties, and Spawnak’s surge
Jano opened the scoring at 0:08 by sending Spawnak back to respawn with the Rocket Launcher. hemeroid answered with two rocket kills on Jano at 0:20 and 0:32 and briefly moved ahead. Then the self-inflicted damage started to matter: hemeroid lost a point to his own rocket at 0:34, Spawnak punished himself twice with the Bio Rifle, and Jano followed two quick kills with suicides at 0:55 and 1:04. The scores climbed in a zigzag rather than a straight line.
The sharpest opening run belonged to Spawnak. From 1:22 he produced the match’s longest spree, five kills, taking down Longshot, hemeroid and Jano along the way. The 1:25 kill completed a Double Kill. hemeroid finally stopped the run at 2:23 with a Bio Rifle shot from 40.6 metres, which was also the longest kill of the match. One hit ended the hottest streak and reset the battle at the top.
The middle: ties, trades, and a rocket rhythm
After the third minute, the scoreboard became a constant exchange. The third minute was the busiest of the match with 12 kills, while the longest quiet spell lasted only 23 seconds after 0:53. hemeroid scored through the Shock Rifle, Flak Cannon and especially the Rocket Launcher; Jano answered in similar fashion, while Spawnak was most productive at shorter ranges. At 3:42 Jano killed hemeroid to make it 9–9, and by 4:04 both were sitting on ten.
Jano then increased the pressure. Kills on Spawnak and Longshot at 5:39 and 5:40 took him to 15 points, with the second hit completing a Double Kill. hemeroid stopped him three seconds later with the Bio Rifle, but Jano stayed in front and led 17–15 after killing hemeroid at 6:29. His main weakness was already visible, though: self-inflicted losses. A Flak Cannon suicide at 6:45 cost another point, one of seven suicides he would record.
Jano pulls away, hemeroid works back
From the seventh to the tenth minute, Jano sometimes looked as if he had created decisive space. Rockets and Flak took him to 20 points at 7:55, 22 at 8:24, and after two quick kills on Longshot and Spawnak he reached 24 at 9:18. Then came a double brake: a Rocket Launcher suicide at 9:37 and another self-inflicted rocket seven seconds later. Spawnak followed with a Flak Cannon kill, and the apparent cushion began to shrink.
hemeroid did not need a huge spree in the second half; steady scoring was enough. The Bio Rifle delivered important kills on Jano, Longshot and Spawnak, and at 10:20 he completed a Double Kill to reach 23. Jano still killed hemeroid with the Bio Rifle at 10:35 to move to 25, but hemeroid averaged the longest life at 29 seconds compared with Jano’s 18, and his 15.5-metre average kill distance was the highest in the match.
The last 174 seconds: every point was a spark
From 10:54 hemeroid assembled the final push and reached 27 points at 11:56. Jano answered at 12:09, killing hemeroid with the Flak Cannon to tie the score at 27–27. hemeroid retook the lead with a rocket on Longshot for 28 and then hit Jano at 12:30 for 29. Four seconds later his own rocket dropped him back to 28, reopening the whole finish just when it seemed under control.
Jano reached 28 at 12:45 and killed Spawnak with the Flak Cannon at 12:59 for 29. hemeroid had already returned to 29 with a Shock Rifle kill on Spawnak at 12:40, leaving both rivals one point short. Spawnak climbed to 28, while Longshot kept hitting the leaders and completed a Double Kill against Jano at 13:33.
