Rekrut conquers DM-Abandon after five lead changes
Five lead changes, KST's six-kill charge and Rekrut's finish turned DM-Abandon into a long fight for the final point.
DM-Abandon did not ease into this Normal Deathmatch. Deemer opened the scoring after only eight seconds with a Shock Combo on Presnak, and the first minute produced six kills. The order shifted so quickly that the table barely had time to settle: Presnak moved in front, Deemer took the lead back, and at 197 seconds Rekrut became the sole leader for the first time. The target of 30 was still far away. By the end, the match had delivered five lead changes, six suicides, no multikills and enough tight exchanges to make the final margin look much calmer than the actual contest.
First three minutes: the lead keeps changing hands
Deemer's first blood at 0:08 came with a Shock Combo from 18.3 metres and gave him the opening step. KST answered at 22 seconds with the Stinger, Rekrut at 28 with the Flak Cannon, and Presnak's kills on Deemer, Rekrut and KST carried him into a 3:2:2:1 solo lead at 84 seconds. Fifteen seconds later Presnak lost a point to his own Shock Rifle, and at 116 seconds Deemer's flak kill on Rekrut made it 3:2:2:2 with Deemer ahead.
Rekrut stayed close and tied Deemer on four with a Stinger kill at 191 seconds. Six seconds later he dropped KST with the Flak Cannon to take a 5:4 lead, completing the third change at the top. Then came the longest quiet spell of the match: after Presnak's Bio Rifle kill at 205 seconds, no death was recorded for 75 seconds. On DM-Abandon, it was less a ceasefire than a held breath before the next sequence of trades.
KST launches the spree, Deemer ends it and takes first
After the pause, Rekrut gradually built separation. Link Gun, Stinger, Enforcer, Sniper Rifle and Shock Combo kills pushed him to 11 points by 518 seconds while the others chased. Then came the strongest individual run of the match. From 560 seconds KST hit Deemer with the Stinger, killed Rekrut and Presnak with the Flak Cannon, added another flak kill on Deemer, a Shock Combo on Rekrut and a Stinger kill on Presnak. Six uninterrupted kills moved him from 6 to 11 points.
The spree ended at 728 seconds when Deemer caught KST with the Link Gun from 27.8 metres. That did more than stop KST: Deemer reached 12 points and took the lead after Rekrut's long spell in front. Presnak fought back through close flak exchanges and tied Deemer on 13 at 775 seconds. At 828, Deemer and Rekrut traded kills at the same timestamp, and Rekrut soon added two more on Presnak. By 884 seconds Rekrut, Deemer and Presnak were all on 14. The match had effectively reset itself.
From point fifteen, Rekrut never gives up the wheel
The decisive swing came exactly at 900 seconds. Rekrut hit Presnak with the Flak Cannon to reach 15, creating the fifth and final lead change. Deemer tied him ten seconds later, but Rekrut answered with the Bio Rifle and began to open space again. At 1020 seconds he landed the match's only headshot, a Sniper Rifle kill on Presnak, to reach 20. A Rocket Launcher suicide at 1157 briefly complicated things, yet twenty seconds later a Shock Combo on Deemer put him back on 20.
The longest kill arrived at 1218 seconds: Rekrut hit Presnak with the Shock Rifle from 78.6 metres. Presnak still refused to disappear and two Stinger kills on Rekrut at 1272 and 1282 brought him within one point, 21:22. Deemer then tagged Rekrut with the Enforcer from 57.6 metres at 1293. Rekrut responded from 1353 onward: Deemer, Presnak, Deemer again, Deemer once more, and then the closing three points. KST fell to a Shock Combo at 1538 and a Link Gun at 1558; the thirtieth point came at 1579 with a Shock Combo on Presnak. Final order: Rekrut 30, Deemer 23, Presnak 22, KST 19.

The seven-point gap between Rekrut and Deemer looks comfortable only on the final scoreboard. In reality the lead changed five times, KST's six-kill spree briefly put him directly into the race for first, and Presnak still cut Rekrut's advantage to a single point after the 21-minute mark. The deciding factor was Rekrut's repeated ability to answer after the final lead change, switch weapons with the distance and turn 27 points into 30 in the closing stretch. DM-Abandon therefore produced a winner built not on one isolated burst, but on repeatedly finding the tempo again.

The input contains no spatial coordinates, so real map clusters cannot be located honestly; the distances still show a strong bias toward short and medium-range fights. The outliers were Rekrut's 78.6 m Shock Rifle kill, Presnak's 60 m Bio Rifle kill and Deemer's 57.6 m Enforcer hit.
