Korumi on Fire: hemeroid Blasts His Way to Thirty!
Four lead changes, a storm of rockets, and hemeroid needing the 571st second to seal the final point.
DM-1on1-Korumi looked compact, but this Normal Deathmatch had no interest in being quiet. hemeroid opened with first blood on Mieridlo after only four seconds using the Flak Cannon, then added Jano with the Bio Rifle at 0:12. Mieridlo answered immediately, built three kills in a row and completed a Double Kill at 0:22 to move ahead 3:2. That set the theme for the entire match: every lead had to be defended. Four lead changes, frequent revenge kills and relentless close-range exchanges kept the scoreboard moving until hemeroid finally created separation in the middle phase.
Opening minute: the first lead changes hands
hemeroid started perfectly, but Mieridlo refused to let the opening become a procession. Kills at 0:15, 0:20 and 0:22 pushed Mieridlo to 3:2, with the last one coming via Flak Cannon as a Double Kill. hemeroid answered through two Bio Rifle kills on Spawnak and a Rocket Launcher hit on Jano at 0:47, restoring the lead.
The first minute produced nine kills and established the geometry of the match: mostly short and medium distances, with constant collisions around powerful close-range weapons. Jano got his first point at 1:01, and at 1:12 the rivalry with hemeroid produced a near-comic exchange: hemeroid killed Jano with the Rocket Launcher, and Jano returned the favor in the very same second. On Korumi, revenge rarely needed an appointment.
Second minute: Mieridlo takes one more turn on top
The second minute was the busiest of the match with 12 kills. Mieridlo closed the gap on hemeroid, used the Shock Rifle at 1:42, tied the score 6:6 with Flak at 1:53, and moved ahead 7:6 by killing Spawnak at 1:58. Four seconds later, hemeroid delivered the longest kill of the entire game: a 39.3-meter Rocket Launcher shot on Mieridlo at 2:02, restoring a 7:7 tie.
Jano kept scoring mostly with rockets, but hemeroid accelerated from 2:34 onward. Bio Rifle kills on Jano and Mieridlo, then a Double Kill completed on Jano at 2:50, pushed him to 10:6. Another rocket on Spawnak made it 11:6. Mieridlo had briefly reclaimed first place, but after hemeroid reached 8:6 at 2:34, the lead never changed again.
Middle game: a five-kill spree creates daylight
The decisive stretch came from 3:11 to 4:04. hemeroid put together the match's longest spree, five kills without an opponent ending it. It began on Spawnak at 3:11, continued through Jano and Mieridlo, and reached five with a Bio Rifle kill on Spawnak at 4:04. The punchline arrived instantly: the spree did not end to an enemy. hemeroid killed himself with the Bio Rifle in that same second.
By then the scoreboard had started to stretch. Jano remained the closest pursuer, but his duel with hemeroid was both intense and costly: they exchanged 24 kills, more than any other pair. Spawnak did his best work at very close range with the Flak Cannon, while Mieridlo mixed Flak, Link Gun and Shock weapons. hemeroid had the broadest effective range, averaging 18.1 meters per kill, and that extra space helped him avoid being trapped in every close-range brawl.
Finish: self-inflicted delays before the final Bio shot
After 4:44 the arena went silent for 42 seconds, the longest pause of the match. Once action resumed, hemeroid kept widening the gap and reached 24 points by 6:38. Jano continued to answer with rockets, Spawnak punished close approaches with Flak, and Mieridlo landed a rapid pair on hemeroid and Jano at 6:54 and 6:55. The gap, however, was already too large.
hemeroid complicated the finish himself. At 29 points he suicided with the Rocket Launcher at 8:52 and dropped to 28. Seven seconds later he returned to 29 by killing Mieridlo, only for Spawnak to stop him with the Shock Rifle at 9:15. The winning point finally arrived at 9:31, exactly the 571st second: hemeroid hit Spawnak with the Bio Rifle and closed the match 30:19. His stat line told the whole strange story—34 kills, four suicides and 14 revenge kills to reach a target score of thirty.

The final 30:19 margin looks calmer than the match felt. hemeroid had to survive Mieridlo's early comeback, another brief Mieridlo lead in the second minute, a heavy Rocket Launcher rivalry with Jano, and four self-inflicted score losses. What separated him was steady scoring across every phase, the five-kill middle-game spree, and a wider weapon mix: 16 Rocket Launcher kills plus 12 with the Bio Rifle. When the last shot landed at 9:31, Korumi finally had a clear winner, but the path to thirty had been anything but straight.
