Jano rules DM-Deck with rockets and a seven-kill finish
Jano opened with a rocket, survived the mid-match pressure and turned the final seven points into a ruthless finish.
DM-Deck did not begin cautiously. Jano sent Headhunter to respawn with a Rocket Launcher after only 15 seconds, then added two more kills before the first minute was over to lead 3:0. Headhunter immediately showed that this would not be a walkover, using the Link Gun to pull the score level at 3:3. The board tightened, yet the recorded lead never changed once during the entire match. Jano stayed in front from first blood to the target score of 30, although the route included two self-inflicted rocket deaths, several strong replies from both opponents and frantic stretches in which Deck punished every poor decision.
Rockets set the tone, Headhunter answers
Jano began with what would become the defining weapon of his match. At 0:15 he hit Headhunter with the Rocket Launcher, at 0:43 he dropped Doskok from 2.5 metres, and at 1:00 another rocket put Headhunter down. The 3:0 lead looked comfortable, but Headhunter found the Link Gun: he killed Jano at 1:52, Doskok fifteen seconds later, and Jano again at 2:12. The score was 3:3, the closest possible warning that the early gap would not grow automatically.
Mistakes then started to matter. Headhunter lost points to slime twice, while Jano resumed collecting rocket kills. Doskok responded with the Shock Rifle and Stinger, but Jano rebuilt his margin before the fifth minute. At 4:48 and 4:59 he also brought out the Redeemer, first against Doskok and then Headhunter. A Rocket Launcher suicide at 5:25 gave one point back, but it still did not offer either opponent the lead.
Deck accelerates and every error hurts
The middle of the match arrived in short violent bursts. Jano hit one opponent with a rocket at 6:06 and the other at 6:11 to reach ten points. Headhunter answered with the Stinger, Doskok fell into slime, and Jano recorded his second rocket suicide at 7:51. The fifth minute was the busiest with five kills, a peak later matched in the ninth and fourteenth minutes, so the rhythm repeatedly switched from movement and positioning to sudden clusters of exchanges.
The ninth minute was a miniature version of the whole match: Jano killed Headhunter with the Flak Cannon, Doskok killed Jano, Doskok then killed Headhunter, Jano killed Doskok in the very same second, and eighteen seconds later Jano rocketed Headhunter. No player could simply hold the floor for long. Jano nevertheless had a structural advantage: his average life lasted 62 seconds, compared with 47 for Headhunter and 35 for Doskok, giving him more time to retain weapons and favourable positions.
Long-range Redeemers and three Double Kills
Between roughly the twelfth and fourteenth minutes, the fight stretched to longer distances. At 12:01 Jano hit Doskok with a Redeemer from 49.2 metres. Fourteen seconds later came the longest kill of the entire match: Headhunter was caught by Jano's Redeemer from 62.3 metres. Against Jano's average kill distance of 17.3 metres, it was a major outlier and proof that Deck was not only being decided in point-blank corridors.
Doskok then produced his strongest sequence. He killed Jano with the Link Gun at 12:56 and 13:12, then added Headhunter at 13:13 for a Double Kill. Nineteen seconds later Headhunter answered with his own Redeemer Double Kill, striking Jano and Doskok in the same second. Jano completed the trio of multikills at 21:09, when a rocket on Headhunter was followed two seconds later by another on Doskok. All three players therefore earned a Double Kill, but Jano's came inside the run that was already closing the match.
Headhunter presses, Jano shuts the door
The strongest pressure on the leader came between the sixteenth and twentieth minutes. Jano was on 22 after his kill at 15:38, but Headhunter started scoring with the Shock Rifle, Flak Cannon, Redeemer and Bio Rifle. By 19:24 he had reached 17 while Jano sat on 23. Six points was not an impossible gap at this pace, and Doskok kept disrupting both players with kills of his own. The problem was self-damage to the scoreboard: Headhunter finished with four suicides and Doskok with nine.
The decisive break began at 19:55. Jano rocketed Doskok and did not die or lose another point for the rest of the match. Headhunter followed at 20:22 and 20:40, then Doskok at 20:57, Headhunter at 21:07 and Doskok at 21:09. That six-point avalanche ended in a Double Kill and left Jano on 29. An 80-second silence then became the longest pause of the match after Doskok's kill at 21:23. Headhunter scored once more at 22:43, but four seconds later Jano hit him with the Redeemer, completed an uninterrupted seven-kill spree and sealed 30:18:8.
Match moments
- Jano took first blood after 15 seconds with a Rocket Launcher kill on Headhunter.
- Headhunter tied the game 3:3 at 2:12, but the recorded lead never changed.
- At 12:15 Jano landed the match's longest kill, a 62.3-metre Redeemer shot on Headhunter.
- Doskok, Headhunter and Jano each recorded one Double Kill.
- The fifth minute contained five kills, a maximum later matched in the ninth and fourteenth minutes.
- From 19:55 to the finish Jano collected seven unanswered kills and nobody ended the spree.
- After Doskok's kill at 21:23, the match went quiet for a record 80 seconds.
- Jano scored the final point for 30:18:8 with a Redeemer four seconds after Headhunter's last kill.
The final 30:18:8 score looks comfortable, but the path contained several genuine pressure points. Headhunter tied the match early and later closed to six points, while Doskok created his own productive spell with a Double Kill and repeatedly interrupted both leaders. The separation came from sustainability. Jano stayed alive longer on average, gave away fewer points through suicides and turned the Rocket Launcher into a constant scoring engine. Once the seven-kill closing spree began, there was no second opening for a comeback. The Redeemer that delivered point 30 was less a last question than a signature beneath a result already secured by the preceding run.
